Download this only if another mod breaks this for some reason. Then again, 3 year-old fixes rarely work well anyway.
Still flying high when the Giant Hits with his huge club. NPC and follower also take off. Will try and see if it at least drops how many times it happens.
I don't think its been fix and I never though of this as Bethesda wink wink we left it in. Have not read anything online that says they fixed it. I wonder if its just people saying they did from other sources than Bethesda.
According to this list, it shouldn't be a problem with USKP and official updates.

I did really want this to work as I have a tendency to play 'one life-one death' so getting glitch killed kinda spoils that, however this did not work for me so I will have to revert to my own mod which seems lessen the chances of the Giants making that glitch move.
I wish Bethesda had fixed this in one of the patches.
Bugs and glitches are NEVER funny. I first heard 'funny bugs' being used by Bethesda when they stated they were 'leaving in some bugs because they were funny'. By now we all know why Bethesda leaves bugs in... And it isn't funny at all.
It's not a feature but a bug. In any case it would seem your mod doesn't work.
If it's not broken, you can't fix it. I'm fairly certain that Bethesda intended to have this. This would be a change, not a fix. Unfortunately, it seems that it is neither, as your intended effect seems to have not worked for most people below me.

Is this true? If not, someone should probably let the BOSS list maintainers or developers know about this.
