Any chance for a SSE port? I really love the idea behind this mod, it always bothered me how you could use all that stuff without permission from the owner. Many thanks anyways!
FYI, this does port super-easy to SSE if you want to try doing it yourself. If I recall correctly, it's just a matter of extracting the BSA, resaving the esp in Creation Kit, and then you're done.
Sthaagg's companion mod "It is Mine" has already been ported (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17867). That mod is actually the reason I took a closer look at this one.
I only changed the prices, because as I see it the main benefit feature of this mod is not a hafty fees, but the very asking permission and paying a symbolic fee as a way to encrease the range of PC-NPC interaction and roleplaying.
So, this is my vision of price list:
BS 50 CK 10 AL 50 EN 50 MN 50 HR 20
All discounts are 50% of a price.
This may look ridiculous when you are going to clear out a gold mine for mere 50 gold coin. But in vanilla game you didn't even have to pay any fee for that. On the other hand, paying 1000 gold for mining iron ore... that would be ridiculous for sure.
So, I am aware of this mod being not supported any longer. So what? I am just having fun talking to you guys. I think it's worth it because this mod is something really well balanced in terms of AI, NPC dialogue etc, something really immersive which is always a good thing.
I don't know the answer to this specific question. However, I will say that changing the costs in xEdit is very, very easy if you're up for giving it a try.
I found out where to change the values and that's working fine. But do you or maybe someone else know if I can disable this feature for some of the crafting stations? I would like to have the cost for harvesting and mining, but I would like the alchemy table to be free to use. I can set the cost to 0, which sorta does the job, but it's not ideal. I've ported this to SSE and I can't get the SV Mods Menu to work with SSE. edit: I got SV Mods Menu working now in SSE.
In SSE, you can use Sthaagg's It Is Mine (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17867) to give yourself ownership of alchemy stations via a power.
Thanks for the suggestion. But that's not ideal either. It breaks my immersion having to use a power like that. It's not my crafting station. I don't wish to own it. I found out that iNeed has a feature for the crops, which I'm using now. For mining I'll just roleplay it and always give the ores I mine to the mine owner. It's the same thing with the flowers in cities that nobody seems to care about. It should be a crime to pick the city clean of all flowers imo. But that's another thing I can roleplay. edit: I got SV Mods Menu working now in SSE.
Been using this forever, and it adds such a nice touch to the game.
Recently, for the first time, something went wrong though. Paid for using an enchanting table once - and now, several game days later, I still can use it without having to pay. I'm pretty sure the owner (Riften Mage) does not like me very much, as I haven't done any quests for her (or any other interaction, really). Is this on my end? Might timescale settings have impact on the mod (I set it to 8, via iNeed)?
I’ve run into a problem in Whiterun. When Addrianne leaves her forge to go inside at about 5pm, if I’m still using the forge Eorlund comes all the way down from the sky forge and yells at me. Is this just an oversight, or a bug?
It makes it a crime if you refuse to pay. If you use for example a forge a smithy will run up to you and yell at you a bit, then you'll have options to either pay or make a run for it. If you run then it is a crime.
Thanks for the update! I know you're not really modding anymore but if inspiration took you and you happened to want to make a mod where alchemy required bottles and/or water (ie. this without the bugs: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52311/?), you know, that would be just fine and perfectly understandable

record xx00AFC6 - FULL Name - a parenthesis is missing between the last words "Discount" and "gold"
Adding an empty bottle after drinking potions on the other hand has to be done via traditional scripting in papyrus.
EDIT: On further inspection, there are no alchemy recipes you can edit and make empty bottles show as a requirement.
