Actually the symbol's entirely lore-friendly. Julianos's symbol is explicitly stated to be a triangle, and the eye doesn't really strike me as being used like the Eye of Providence (which predates the Freemasons, for the record), more of an opened mind's eye sorta thing as per him being the god of Wisdom, Logic, Learning, etc.. It's possibly also a tie-in with his older Nordic form Jhunal, where he had a similar sphere but also encompassed Hermetic orders. Hermeticism has a large focus on learning, the occult, and so on, so it's not out of the question that they could have the triangle for Julianos, but incorporate the opened mind's eye as homage to Jhunal. The entire triangle + eye symbol's originally Jhunal's in the first place if it's being used in Nordic ruins.
The eye of providence did predate the masons, but the eye at the top of the pyramid is basically a symbol that only top 0.1% or so can be the enlightened, while the rest are like stone, closed, dense, and bearing the brunt of the weight of society. This evolved from a misinterpretation of the Hermeticist ideology of "separate the gross from the subtle with great determination" to be an elitist secret club mentality, of which modern elites obsessed with the occult propagate. TES lore is actually littered with Hermetic ideas, CHIM being similar to the All idea. "Often associated with Jhunal, the Nordic father of language and mathematics, Julianos is the Cyrodilic god of literature, law, history, and contradiction. Monastic orders founded by Tiber Septim and dedicated to Julianos are the keepers of the Elder Scrolls." from imperial library page on Julianos. He is literally the antithesis of freemason ideas, which purport that most are unworthy of being illumined.
Damm this sounds really depressing ... I (personally) think that all people can be enligthend as much as they want, it's not something "exculsive". In my opinion, if you truely love yourself and the people around you, you have found REAL enligthenment! But that's just my view on things ... <3
Thank you very much for this mod! Now I can play Skyrim without beeing reminded of the sick stuff that goes on in the real world ... Before i found this mod, I tryed to retexture it myself, but I'm not good at textures. I could never really roleplay as any character that worshiped Julianos, because that symbology just felt "wrong" to me as a player. I felt more comfortable with the daedric prince Hermaeus-Mora then with Julianos because of this symbology, but not any more ;-)
Thank you for making Skyrim feel a bit more friendly and nice! <3
So, this removes NWO symbolism hidden inside (((their))) game. Why am I not surprised that these things are in a (((Bethesda))) game? Kudos for the fix, using it ASAP.
