ikr? I don't even play mtg anymore (haven't for years), but boy oh boy is that game TERRIBLE at card balance. Here's a new set with 300 cards, 284 of which are utter s#*! and 16 of which are OP godmode.... So glad I quit!
I haven't played using actual cards since 97 or so. I have the Duels of the Plainswalkers PC game from '98, updated w/the newer cards that someone who also has an acct here actually added in 2009 or so, IIRC. Great game, and sure a lot cheaper, since I prefer to run my best decks w/4Lotus, 4 of each needed Mox. . . LOL.
No deck can compare to my abusive Speed decks tho. . . Underworld Dreams + Wheel Of Fortune as base combo, w/either cheat deck of just those and Lotuses, or semi-legal deck adding Winds of Change, Mox Jet and Ruby, Demonic Tutor, Badlands, and Black Vice. 90% first round win on even the lesser deck, and pretty much 100% on the cheat deck. > Amazingly, it only rarely gets boring.
