There are many Houses that use that same spot...What I don`t like about that spot is the two kids and dog hang out there...By killing them or disable them is a way to fix that...
This mod looks nice. You could just say that by helping Ralof or Hadvar, they told you about a shack that was abandoned a few years ago or something, and told you that nobody would mind you staying there for a while. Very simple starter base, since I think it is very strange that you can sleep in Gerdur's or Alvor's house and eat all their food before you really prove yourself.
