Before you ask for a standalone follower...

It's probably not going to happen.

I had one hell of a time with the body and facial textures on the other three preset/follower mod combinations that I've previously released. I currently have no desire to revisit that nightmare.

Unless I get some assistance from a fellow modder on how to ensure texture consistency for all users, I'll probably just stick with a published Keira preset for now.

    Thanks for understanding.

Having used a good number of various great follower mods, I like your artwork but especially as in a standalone follower. I have downloaded some of your work and although I encountered some problems I was able to get them to work quite well.
After installing, I replaced meshes (femalebody, femalefeet, femaleshands, and femalehead nifs) with UUNP HDT meshes, and replaced textures (femalebody, femalehands, and femalehead dds files} with a unp compatible texture I like (an SG Renewal variant). Your file structure for the hair is unusual. Most put the hair folder inside the follower's folder (Data\Textures\Actors\Character\SolingFollower\ femalebody, femalehands, and femalehead dds files, and hair, eyes, lips folders. For standalone ok, but any prior install of KS Hairdo's will be overwritten when installed with your standalone mod structure. A very beautiful Soling is now a great follower asset in my game now. My game has about 240 active mods running, and yet Soling still stands out a work of art.

    Thank you
(PS Go ahead and make this beauty a follower, copy where you left of with Soling, The body and textures are easy to change later. It's the face that's so difficult to capture beauty). Body mods are too various for anyone to keep track of.

The reason behind the hair files and their weird path structures was due to me having issues with the hairline head part in the CK. I just couldn't get them to work properly. The first release of the standalone followers had a nasty texture seam on the back of their necks due to my lack of knowledge of how to make hairline head parts. So the only fix that I knew of was to just made KS Hairdos an .esm, work the hair in and repackage the original hair files within the mod.

As far as making Keira a standalone? I'm still leaning heavily towards not doing it. If some other intrepid modder wants to create one, send me a PM and we'll work out a plan.

OMG I LOVEEEE this mod! It was seriously the quickest I ever made my character when setting up for a new game. I also featured this mod in one of my videos in case anyone wants to see it.

I love this preset by the way, would you make Keira for the remaster and will you put it on Bethesda.net for the console players?

SInce there are no .esp plugins associated with this preset, Keira will be available for Skyrim Enhanced Edition... so long as both SKSE and Racemenu gets updated.

As far as uploading to Bethesda.net for console players, I don't think that's going to happen. Not until they figure out how to get Racemenu (and all the other files I've recommended) to work on consoles.

I have searched both Steam and Nexus for a very long time for a good looking preset for my play through, and Keira fits the bill. Awesome that she works with all armours i have and love, No issues to report here. Thank you Sir well done. btw I named her Keira SkyWulf...

Keira SkyWulf is pretty awesome. My Keira tends to go with either the Immersive Armors - Tribunal Robes White, or a set of Northgirl White armor and name her... you guessed it, "Keira the White".

Glad you're enjoying the preset. There might be more selections to come!

She looks good so I tried her. The preset doesn't work so well for me (I get a seam at the neck) but not due to your work that I can tell. I like your mod page to, very well written with lots of links. Have a good one.

Try importing the head .nif that came with the preset using the "Sculpt" tab in Racemenu.

After you import the head, use the Mask Add brush with the brush strength set to 1.15. Add a mask around the base of the neck (you can hide the hair .nif on the right panel to help you see what you're doing). Try to keep the brushed area limited to just the base of the neck. If you mess up, just import the .nif file and try again.

Lastly, adjust the weight slider all the way to 0 and back up all the way to 100. You should be able to then set your desired weight without a neck seam.

Be sure to export the adjusted head in the Sculpt tab so you don't have to repeat these steps again in the future.

If this doesn't fix the issue, then more than likely you have something fishy going on with your body textures. Backup your body texture files and use a seam fix program like Caliente's Texture Blender to fix the body and neck texture gap.

      Hope this helps ya.

Thanks, that's a bunch of tips to try so I'll make a preset of my char and give it another shot. The seam I observed appeared to be the fabled UNP neck seam. I am using the UUNP body so I am hesitant of applying zzjay's neck seam fix to it. Will post back here after I try all the options, may be a few days. RL bites.

Edit: Got her working fairly well. I removed my textures then reinstalled them. No more seam. Sorry about the cropped image. I have to get rid of those letterbars and I'll post you something nicer.

I have known Zoya from her first appearance.

Yeah, I have a few presets from other authors, and although I prefer to make my own PC's, ...
    Keira is Extraordinary.

Hope to be first endorsement. Congrats.
