About this mod

This mod places a smithy at High Hrothgar with a unique workbench

Permissions and credits
Description
This mod is in essense a merger of part of High Hrothgar Overhauled by Calarand77 and blacksmith iron dragon by Renthal311 with kind permission of both authors.
Calarand's mod adds,
amongst other things at High Hrothgar, an outdoor smithy and Ren's a lovely smithy workbench with a decorative iron dragon on it, which would normally act as a replacer for all the workbenches in Skyrim.  There was some discussion on Ren's page about how such a wonderful item should be unique and not a general replacer, so...
What I did was change Ren's workbench to be a standalone item, and then used that to replace the existing vanilla workbench at High Hrothgar as added by Calarand's mod.  I've also removed one chest added by Calarand and moved another away from the workbench.

  • If you want all benches to be the dragon one, just use Ren's mod and not this mod.
  • Calarand's mod basically consists of 3 individual components that add the smithy, a player home area and a general re-working of the interior of High Hrothgar.  My mod is a replacement for the external smithy, so you don't need that specific ESP from Calarand's mod if you use mine.  If you want the player area and internal re-work you still need those bits from Calarand's mod.
  • Note that this only contains the iron dragon from Ren's mod, not the coloured one.

Requirements
This mod is standalone.  It doesn't require anything from the mods above and only uses base game resources.  The meshes and textures for the workbench are included.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with everything, except the original outdoor smithy in Calarand's mod, which this replaces.

Installation
Just use your mod manager.  If you install manually, the mod consists of an ESP to go in your data directory and the meshes and textures for the workbench to merge in.

Uninstallation
To quote Calarand - "Remove any items stored in the containers, go outside High Hrothgar's building (preferably to another cell. just in case), making sure there are no NPCs/Followers left in the areas added by the mod. Leave the game and uninstall the mod. There are no scripts there, so it's safe to remove it at any time" - as safe as removing any mod during a playthrough can be anyway.

Skyforge version
Whilst I was on a roll, I did a version for the Skyforge
