It's not mentioned in lore, but I've tried to make it fit to lore closely in its 'storyline' and its design. There isn't a massive deal mentioned about the Ayleid, so the origin of the blades can be based on both fact and speculation on the part of the College or whomever found them. However, they match the elven colouring scheme and are made from moonstone and gold, so they are likely of elven origin.

      Hope that helps!

I would consider this lore-friendly. It is carefully placed into the world, not overpowered, and matches the general concept of the Ayleid. While the shape is unusual, that explains why it is locked in a museum. The weapon style does exist, and has appeared in previous Elder Scrolls games.

I think I'm missing out on some mods. Its obvious there are a ton of small treasures on the nexus that get left in the dark. I will have fun with these thanks!

      Spoiler:
      Show
It's in the Hall of the Dead in Markarth. As you go in from the entrance in Understone Keep, it's in the second hollow to the left.
