    Seems like a really cool mod, but imo, a little bit not lore-friendly. The way I see it is the Dragonborn, even though capable of learning the dragon language, can never master the language (or at least not as quickly as the game is implying) that is native to a dragon. For that reason, shouts from dragons should always be more powerful and more badass than from the Dragonborn. For that reason, I've been refraining myself from downloading shout mods that allow the Dragonborn to shout like the dragons. Having said that, vanilla shouts are severely underpowered and many of them are useless against more powerful enemies. Therefore, I am using mods that increase their damage so that using them is actually worth the effort.

      Lore-wise the dragonborn is a mortal born with the soul of a true dragon, a gift granted by them by Akatosh himself, the dragon-god of time. I'd say there's no reason for the dragonborn to be less powerful than any dragon in terms of the Voice.

      The fact that the freaking father-god of Nirn's pantheon decided to grant a mortal the gift of Thu'um along with the power to devour dragon souls and slay them forever, would even justify that he was stronger than them, after all, a god can do whatever the hell he pleases.

      Consider also that the Last Dragonborn was given his Voice to fulfill the prophecy and slay Alduin, the World Eater and some sort of turbocharged demi-god lizard fated to cause Nord-Mageddon. Why wouldn't the dragonborn be at least as proficient with the Voice than any other dragon, if he's to have a sporting chance against the mightiest of them all?

      At the least there's no lore that says that the dragonborn should be more or less powerful than anything else, so this is just fanfiction.

      Nah, all Dragonborns were avatars of Shor, the patron god of Men, and the one to fool Aedra to create Nirn. Akatosh is the patron of Mer, and loves his kids, he has no reason whatsoever to give humans(and in lore, all dragonborn were human) a way to permanently kill them. It was Kinareth, who convinced Paarthurnax to teach humans, and she's the one who placed a dragon soul in a mortal body to save Nirn, which she loves more than any other Aedra, from destruction.

      LazyClown, you realize that what you said is simply what the Mer believe right? As is literally specified in lore. There was no tricking in the creation of Nirn and the only ones who actually opposed Nirns creation are the Daedra (and Sithis.) Lorkham (Shor) is also one of the Aedra too!! Whether mortal humans want to believe it or not.

      Kynareth doesn't have the position to place a dragons soul into a mortal body, that is the realm of Akatosh as they're the chief deity among the Aedra and literally created dragons. Kynareth merely enabled mortal humans to be able to shout like dragons (albeit through years of studying and practicing how to project a word in the draconic tongue into a shout.)

      Mankar Camoran, a half Altmer and half Bosmer, is highly speculated as being dragonborn, as Mankar himself expressed learning a new language and..in a very short period of time could speak fire, he was also able to wear the amulet of kings..something of which only dragonborn can do.

    Aww I just had gotten tired of DragonFire's bugs and decided to tweak it to my liking. You beat me, lol.

    One thing that I liked from DragonFire was the fact that the second word had the dragon fireball projectile version. Would you consider adding that option?

      In case you never found this out, this mod does that:

      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79034

      I'm probably still going to use this, as this adds the projectile as a separate shout when using Dragon Aspect: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54306

      With TES5Edit, load the better dragon breath plugin,
      -> clic on + [01] Better Dragon Breath (BALANCED).esp
      -> Shout
      -> The one you want
      -> In the menu, find (at the bottom of the list) : Recovery Time
      -> Set the time you want
      -> Close your window and save the esp when TES5Edit aks you for it

      Play with your wish realized :D

    I do want to mention to users of "Improved Dragon Shouts" and "Ruminations on the Rotmulaag" that this mod will not be compatible unless a patch is released, as all three mods alter the shouts in and of themselves.

    That should do it! Sorry for the inconvenience, but the previous version of this mod doesn't work at all. I just released a fixed version over the old one. The new one should work perfectly.

    Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hmmm... this is odd. I loaded my game where I USUALLY already have all three words to both shouts, but alas, I only have 2 words to each shout. This mod needs some updating it would seem.

    Wow. This looks very promising. I had one question: I use Dragon Soul Relinquishment and just wanted to be sure that increasing damage with that mod (which does so for fire and frost breath) would still work alongside yours. I mainly want BDB for the longer more dragon-like effect but the damage increase DSR provides would be a plus. Anyway, thanks for the cool mod. Any help on this would be great.

      I'm pretty good with modding, but when it comes to making two mods compatible, I don't really know much. I'm really just a Creation Kit guy, not really much of a hardcore developer.

      It could be compatible, but I can't tell you if it is or not. Sorry.

      The damage increase for DSR is done via a perk, not via modification of the shouts. Assuming the modified shouts skill have the MagicDamageFire/MagicDamageFrost keywords, they should be compatible.

      Ahh yes. Keywords. I never really did look into Dragon Soul Relinquishment, but if that's the case then yes, they can work alongside each other. I gave the last word to each shout the same keywords as the last word of the vanilla Fire/Frost Breath shouts.

      Yeah. As ironic as it is, the "Iron Boots + Studded Armor + Iron Gauntlets + Iron Helmet" mixture that makes up the depicted dragonborn is a very crappy set. It mixes 3 heavy armors with only 1 light armor; you would have to learn BOTH skills in-game, and some perks wouldn't apply. There are no doubt mods that add a heavy version of the studded armor... but still that armor set becomes weak compared to better sets such as dwarven, orcish, ebony, daedric, and etc. It would be nice to have a mod where you can also wear "costume armor", in a similar fashion to that of Starbound's costume armor option.

      Yeah that doesn't make sense in game, but it was cool in the trailer.

      No, there is one pauldron of the studded armor but the breastplate, that big plate you see in his chest, is the iron armor one, so it would be heavy armor.

    This is the mod I dreamed of since I first got the game.

    Just one question. Is it compatible with Rotmulaag - Immersive Meditations on the Words of Power by piotrmil?
