Looking to get ahold of you. Can't message you on the forums though, for some reason.

Wait silvered enchantment? You mean you got the silver damage perk working on them? How'd you managed that one? I tried a while back but couldn't figure it out.

I think you have to add the silver keyword and also add the silvered script.

Whereabouts is the script section for ammo? I'm looking at it as I'm typing this and can't see it.

I am quite curious myself to see how he got this to work. I've had a silver arrow mod waiting in the wings for quite a while and it's this bit that's made me never push it to completion.

You can add an explosion to arrows (that's how exploding bolts from DG work). Each explosion form has an enchantment and a 3D model. I made a zero-radius explosion on hit with the Silvered enchantment attached. The Silvered script is unnecessary, on other weapons it's actually redundant because it's a part of the enchantment itself.

Thanks. You can do similar things with shouts like Dragonrend to make Dragonrend arrows...Arrows that literally bring down a dragon. It also works with paralysis, Dawbreaker enchantments, etc.

So you can't actually pick up the arrows after firing them?

Yes, you can pick them up. It's not like it was in Oblivion.

How'd you get it so you can pick them up? I thought explosions got rid of the arrows?

No, not to my knowledge. Not even bolts from DG disappear. That's only in Oblivion. Bound Arrows disappear because they are set to non-playable and a small script set handles them. Explosions only make an item disappear if the item has specific flags like "death item". Pop open the ESP in the CK if you like to see how I did it.

I might do that later but I swear that the exploding bolts disappeared after firing them.

EDIT: Just did some reading about it. You can loot them from corpses but you can't pick them up if you missed.

Just gone into the CK and took a look at silver stuff and, from what I can tell, the enchantment is unused in vanilla (I'm not actually looking at your mod, I'm assuming you used the EnchSilverSword enchantment). My guess is that Bethesda were originally going to use an enchantment to give the bonus damage but changed it to a perk and script when they decided they wanted the weapons to be enchantable.

Thank you for pointing out the enchantment to me though, I did some work on the SPOA silver crossbow mod back in December/January and added everything Arcane missed except the bonus damage to the silver bolts because I couldn't figure out how to do that. I think I ended up spending at least a day looking at possible ways to add it.

Did I really forget to add the script effect to the enchantment? Crap. The silver weapons have both the silver enchantment and the script effect, but since the scripts can't be attached to arrows without SKSE I have to attach it to the explosion enchantment.

Ah. As I said, I was just guessing on the enchantment you used as I wasn't actually looking at your mod.

Whatever I did worked. Playing on Novice the silver arrows do more damage to undead and werewolves than without the enchantment.

ok am DLing this and adding it to game immediately, arrows look awesome AND silver enchantments??!! the quiver is also outstanding VERY good job on that inlay and dragon very impressive, I am crossing fingers that you get permission to make full set armor. AND really hope you make a full set of the silver weapons (both with silver enchant AND un-enchanted so at higher levels we can add) OR if you get more inspired just design your own modular armor (light n heavy both) silver/leather then silver(ebony or dragonbone/scale or even deadric blend I believe it would be an instant hit!
    will be back to endorse

also as a added request is this compatable as "vanilla lists" because I have a mod that allows you to up-grade arrows (vanilla only, iron/steel/dwarven/orc/glass/ebony BUT not deadric or dragon) it takes 2 arrow for each up-grade so 2 base arrows = 1 "+1" arrow then 2 "+1" arrows= 1 "+2" arrows up to a final "+5" arrow. I would love to be able to do the same with these just a hope, and will be very satisfied with what these do now Thanks again.
