Okay, so I ran the program and clicked "Remove." All of the directories are fine. Aaaaand... Skyrim won't launch. It opens up and crashes instantly, before even getting to the Bethesda logo. What on earth is going on?!
Unless you've added some critical game files yourself to the files list, there is no way this is the cause of your problems. If you've verified the game files using steam and it still fails to load, then you clearly have mod conflicts or missing masters.
I'm trying to find an enb manager but the name of this utility leads me to belive it's main purpose is to remove enbs. I'm so confused. I tried Enb orginizer and it was the biggest mistake since I chose NMM over MO. Ironicly, I had just "finished" my move from NMM to MO, by which I mean a complete reinstall of Skyrim and my mods. I've had the ENB series installed, but with no presets. I played around with a few presets using ENBO. I got one preset today that put a black bar on the bottom of my screen when I went to qasmoke to load my game and I didn't even bother to try to load my game. I turned it off in ENBO, and now my game will crash when I try to load a save game (from qasmoke) or try to start a new game. I dont even get a loading screen.
tl;dr, what is this thing? is it an ENB manager, or ENB remover? Should I go with ENB Manager and changer instead? Will this program also remove the files that came with ENB series ?
And does anyone know about "HEUR/QVM03.0.0000.Malware.Gen"? that makes me not want to download this if I'm gonna get that.
I don't know why it took me so long to find this. I've been changing ENBs like 20 times I think and it was a pain having to remove those files manually after finding it out my pc doesn't like them. The fact that I can save my preferred ENB is just awesome so thank you and keep up the good work!
Trying to remove all the slot folders from my skyrim directory, however I apparently don't have access to any of them even though im administrator. I can't take ownership either?
I did, and reinstalled Skyrim. Luckily only takes like 15 mins haha. One of them worked, not sure which one. I appreciate the quick response though, your program is really making working with ENBs easy for a modding noob like me. Thank you for this product.
ENB might be a better graphic mod but if you are use "Shadow Fix for Skyrim 3D Vision" d3d9.dll have to be replaced. In other words: either you use your 3D Vision for 3D-sight or you use ENB. Both are not possible.
Ok? I don't see how that comment is at all relevant to this but ok thank you. If you're mad because that file gets deleted regardless when using this, then I suggest using the 'keep d3d9.dll' checkbox option.
I have a big problem, when I went to load an ENB config and an error popped up stating something along the lines of "the directory has a directory character...." or something like that....i hit continue and all the files in my skyrim folder where the .exe is to launch skyrim are gone.
My data folder remained though, when i opened the data folder all the esps, esms and bsas are gone. My meshes folder is gone, and the only things left are the scripts, SKSE folder and textures folder....4 years gone.
Please advise as to what can I do. Where did everything go? What happened?
UPDATE:
I just checked the memory on my HDD and it reflects an increase in what disappeared.....So everything i stated above is deleted.
Damn, that sounds fucked up. Are you sure you didn't add anything new into the files list for that to happen? If it's not on the list, the program wont do anything to it.
The code relating to the deletion is literaly just: My.Computer.FileSystem.DeleteFile(filepath & TextLine, filepath = whatever is written in the game directory text field Textline = the name of the files on each line of the file.txt text file list. Meaning if its not listed inside that .txt file, nothing happens.
This is the first I've heard of something like this. Even myself who tested random deletion methods over and over didn't manage to do that. I wish you could show me the error or something. Which ENB were you trying to load?
I have many ENBs i've made myself that are non release. But in a nutshell they all use the same files that are listed in your "files.txt" so i've never added anything there. At this moment I am trying to use Recuva, Shadow Explorer and any data recovery software out there. I backup my whole HDD once a month, and haven't done it in the last 3 weeks so I lost alot. Praying for the best here.

Out of interest, had you used this before with no problems?
