I agree the absorb health enchant on Blade of Woe was terrible. I think it was powered by a common soul gem which meant it needed to be recharged after just a few uses. Not a good blade to use in a drawn out battle.
That said, I do feel that being able to improve the weapon with nothing made it more accessible to everyone so I'm not sure how that will affect the weapon.
Still, I'm going to try it just because it's unenchanted.

I wonder if you could do a mod with the Black Hand Robes with no enchantment?
