theoretically yes. I haven't looked at the esp to see, but I'm guessing all that it does is rename and in that case the models and textures included should replace vanilla as usual
for anyone just want mesh and texture of this mod(using it without esp): after installing this mod,cut the mesh file (GaletteDesRois2.nif) from this direction Meshes\clutter\food\MeltInTheMouth and paste it in this direction:meshes\Clutter\Food and then change the name of mesh file from GaletteDesRois2.nif to ButterscotchCreams01.nif
I'm pretty sure the original is supposed to look like a Norwegian solskinnsbolle, but they did a really bad job with it. Solskinnsbolle is basically just a cinnamon bun with custard in the middle. They look like this: https://kakepiken.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/kanel2.jpg The one in the vanilla game just looks really sweaty and weird, though, so this is a really nice replacer, in my opinion.
What do you have against before/after shots? Still looks good, but just making it clear that the effort is slightly wasted by not providing easy access to what it changes.
Sorry, I figure most people know what the boiled creme treat looks like. Maybe they're not virtual sweets enthusiasts like me. It's like a donut with weird yellow pus coming out of it.

Really is a big improvement compared to the original.
I wish there was a SE version.
