This mod makes perfect sense. Anyway, who the hell cooks meat on the campfire and then uses actual salt instead of old trick known as "draining blood, then reintroducing it back to the meat", certain herbs, hell, you are burning wood there! Just slap some ash on that steak!

I know a bit about the ck so i'm so sorry you had to go through this boring job of removing all the salt from the recipes lol. I was planning on doing something myself like this but i'm so glad i didn't have to.

My thoughts exactly. RND should be all over that, flags-wise, as salt is what keeps meat from gathering bacteria which kill you if it is dried for storage. W/o being dried, you can cook it to safely eat NOW, but it will likely go bad if you try to store it for later w/o salting/curing it.

@9123a I'm on iNeed so I can't really test on RND without turning my load order upside down. RND adds about 200-300 recipies to the game. I'd say about 20-25 of them would be affected by this mod if you place it after RND in the load order. If you do that, it should give you around one or two salt free recipe per type of meat: chicken, beef, rabbit, horker, goat, frost troll, horse, mammoth, venison, clam, mudcrab, pheasant, wolf. Now will you get the RND perks from the modded recipes and will RND recognize it as food, I don't know. Maybe a RND user can test it out and post the results. This mod is script free, so there would be no problem in install and uninstalling it. Checkout the venison stew, does it have perks? does it satiate your hunger and reduce your thirst?

@Cliven RND is no longer in development, so it would take someone else from the community to step up and make it happen. It's actually easy to do but time consuming. If you or anyone else is interested, I can do a tutorial on how to make salt free patch for all of RND's recipies using TESVedit.

PS - salting meat is available in iNeed. You just click on the raw meat and it'll give you the option of eating it or salting it. It will then take a salt pile from your inventory and leave you with a preserved meat. Once salted the meat will not spoil and can be eaten as if it was cooked. Very useful to have a few in your inventory as a fallback if you're unable to hunt or access a fire for for some reason.

It seems that this might work with RND USLEEP atleast. Cause there was when i had venison with me a recipe For venison stew and just venison which was cooked Without salt. So if those aren’t added by some another mod in my load order (which i dout) then this seems to do the trick

And those recipes had the Perks of RND about filling meal and stuff

Hello, in the original "No Salty Food", a comment says that it doesn't cover the Dragonborn food. Does your mod cover that? Thanks.

I've looked through all the DLCs, only Hearthfire introduces new foods and food recipes. So the old plugin would probably serve your purpose if you don't have Hunterborn.

I do use Hunterborn too. I just wanted to see if there was a problem with Dragonborn. So if there is no added recipies, that person in the old mod is making mistake.

So, all is fine and i endorsed your mod. Thank you!

Good idea. Who would be unable to cook meat if they didn't have salt?
