Since I'm already level 46, I usually buy the fletching materials from Solitude since they have them in "bulk" compared to Whiterun's Drunken Huntsman. After hitting level 35 I found the Mirkwood shaft in Solitude's Fletcher, but it was only a single shaft, just 1. Is this normal, do they begin to increase quantity as you level up?
As much as I would agree with this....the original author decided to be a child a completely stop ALL public development because their opinion differed back during the whole "Forever Free" debacle and didn't get their way.
No premission is listed because none was given. At least not that I can remember. As far as the mod "dead", I think "finished" is a better term. As for why I stop public development, it wasn't a matter of opinion, it is a matter of choice. I am not obligated in any way to release mods or updates.
Personally I do not understand the problem surrounding permissions when making a patch/expansion on an already existing mod. I do understand if a modder wants to use someone else's assets and that's totally okay because those assets were someone else's property.
This mod requires N2T, and does not come with any assets included in the mod. This mod will make your game crash if you do not have N2T. The fact that this is not standalone means, to me, that the original mod is required and the original mod author's work is not stolen or claimed as mine.
I hold the opinion that modding should be a community effort, one which encourages the sharing of work, to further the community-wide goal of making this (or any other) game as good as possible. However, this is not a perfect world and bad people do exist which will do everything they can to gain internet fame. On the other hand, I think people who are too protective of their work and do not allow for example patches for other mods are going a little bit overboard. But, as it is their mod they have all the rights to do so.
Thus, foster, if you do not want this mod on the site, contact me.
It seems to me you haven't "fixed" anything. It seems more like altering the mod to suite your taste. For example you stated mirkwood arrows weren't even obtainable in the mod, so you added them to vendors...this is simply not true. They are Craftable by the player at high skill level...by design. Also you "fixed" an Easter egg hidden in the mod, by swapping it to another item. Next you added the silver effect to bolts.... have you tested this feature...there is a reason it was left off. I really don't care if you want to patch the mod to your taste. But stated it was fully of issues and inconsistencies is different. Granted there are bugs in the mod, but just from looking at your description..... none of those are addressed by your patch.
ISAFSoldier- You think Foster owes you something? Who exactly is the child here?! She decided to move on to other things in life. End of story. You calling her a child or suggesting that she is selfish just because she FINISHED a mod (HER mod that SHE CREATED and SHARED!!) and then decided it wasn't worth continuing FREE public support for her hard work is laughably hypocritical.
foster xbl - Your work is appreciated by MOST of the community. Don't concern yourself with the few CHILDREN who talk ****... While I personally would love to see more updates/support for N2T (or your Knocked Up/Baby Momma mods), I wouldn't cater to people like those above either...
Could someone upload a picture of this supposed "eye-catching" aspen? I have walk from the guardian stones to Whiterun on both sides of the river and up to Bleak Falls Barrow. I cannot find a single tree that looks different than any other.
A picture has been uploaded. Do note that I now use natural aspen trees, making them greener. When I was not, the tree was a bright orange and very easy to spot.
The bow case is still obtainable. It is being sold by fletchers starting from level 35. Same goes for the mirkwood and dark arrows, which weren't even obtainable in the main file. Taking a closer look, I have not touched the damage values of the Monarch bow at all. It is still a high level weapon, as it should be, and can only be stolen from the solitude fletcher (like the original mod) or bought from level 69 and up, like the original mod.
The arrowheads have been divided in three categories: glass and elven weigh 0.4 units a sack, steel, silver, ancient nordic and nordic carved weigh 0.5 a sack, orcish and dwarven weigh 0.6 a sack and daedric, ebony and dragonbone weigh 0.7 a sack. Arrow shafts for both bolts and arrows still weigh 1 unit. Fletching feathers weigh 0.1 units, as feathers are very light. Nocks and bolt nocks weigh 0.8. The 80lb and 120lb strings weigh 1 unit instead of 0.1, to prevent hauling them around forever until you can upgrade.

Thus, I would consider N2T "dead"

What level do you start coming across the mirkwood arrows?
What are the weights of the fletching stuffs now?
