Used this and "sit and read" script here: Windstad Inn and Dark Lair and here: Lakeview. Manor - As It Should Be. Thank you for sharing!

lousy habit, but it's actually very conspicuous in it's absence considering a medieval tavern setting. would be fantastic if u could attach smoking animations to chairs inside inns

Actually, smoking in a "medieval tavern" environment is very out-of-place. Tobacco is a New World plant, it wasn't imported into Europe until after the time of Columbus, during the rennaisance. And even then, the idea of smoking it rather than just snorting it up your nose didn't immediately catch on, it came a century or two later. And more, it wasn't until the 18th century when tobacco farming became big that tobacco use became something common people did - prior to that, tobacco was damned expensive, because it's actually amazingly difficult to grow commercially as it quickly uses up all the nitrates in whatever soil it's planted in. Thus, for the longest time, the simple price-tag meant it's use was a habit of the very wealthy and upper-class.

Not that I have any objections to a fantasy-medieval world having pipes and such, after all, it worked for Papa Tolkein. And I smoke myself, so hey.

Of course, to be fair to Tolkein, he never said it was tobacco that Gandalf and Bilbo and the others were smoking, he called it "pipe-weed", and refused to say what it was beyond that. Back in the sixties, the hippies decided he meant marijuana, and that made the popularity of "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" just explode in their generation. But, when asked while he was alive if it was marijuana, Tolkein firmly denied it, said "It's pipeweed", and left it at that. Not tobacco, not marijuana, but something else again - a fantasy plant that apparently only exists in Middle Earth and has no other use beyond stuffing it's dried leaves into a pipe.

But, please don't think smoking is historically medieval. It really isn't - it's a late Renaissance thing. Certainly, people *could* have invented the pipe and found something to stuff in it back then, there are several weeds that have "recreational properties" available in Europe. But, nobody did.

As far as attaching a "smoke pipe" animation to a chair, hey - the script is there. If you can find a way to create and plug in the "smoking" animation into the system (I have NO idea how to do that, sorry), well, you just use this script to call the anim. The script makes a call to the list of animations that all the basic character races have. If you can create and add a new animation to that list, you can call it up the same way. If that isn't possible but you can at least create the anim and add it to the lists of available ones, well, you can use the "sit and read" script I made to call it as a loose idle anim using the "playanim" command.
