Can you guys do me a favour? Look last image I just uploaded and tell me if that's your problem. If so can you please look in your skyrim data folder for:
and see if it has a Beastkids.esp folder and if this folder has anything in it. I've included those files when I uploaded it and it should fix this error it does on for me.
If they're not there you can try reinstalling the mod and see if that helps or try placing the folder in that location manually and see if that helps.
That is exactly what it looks like. I do have the Beastkids.esp folder and it is full of .dds and .tga files. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but it still looks the same.
That's the dark (or grey) face bug. The facetint folder is supposed to sort that out. I've moved all of the original files out of my folder and downloaded the mod from the nexus and they work for me, so I have no idea what's going on here.
I'll redo the files tomorrow and upload new ones to see if that works this time. Or talk you through how to solve it in the creation kit if you're willing to have a go with that.
Boot up the creation kit and load skyrim.esm, update.esm, hearthfires.esm and beastkids.esp set as the active file
In the object window the actors section will have a list of all NPCs in the game, mine are at the top, named __argonianXXX and __khajiitXXX with XXX being boy, girl1, girl2 etc. Highlight them all and press ctrl + F4, you'll get a pop up asking if you want to export all faces, press yes then ok when it's done.
Save and that should fix it.
The creation kit is a little temperamental and it might not export them properly, giving you a sort of hatched coloured face. If you get this go to ...\Skyrim\ Data\Textures\actors\character\character assets and TEMPORALLY remove the tintmasks folder (to your desktop or somewhere safe) and repeat the above steps. Then put the tintmasks folder back after you close the creation kit
Yeah I don't really use the creation kit myself. Crashes every time I try. However it did not crash this time and the ctrl+F4 trick worked. It looks fine now. Thanks for the help.
I know you said the bodies are resized adults and I was wondering if you would add an optional file for a full sized adult version? I know the voices would still be kids and they would treat you as mom/dad but think about this. Add in the multiadoption mod and you would have like roommates. So if you marry an beast race with with a beast race dragonborn and add in 6 more beast kids/roommates . You would have a beast race commune. I admit it sounds kinda dumb but kinda cool at the same time.
Hiya bad news , they still got duff colours, female khajiit n male both hv grey heads nt matching bodie colours, i do use enb but i dnt get this issuely happened once before .
its not an enb issue if it's like the last pic I put up. It's a well know bug with a well known fix, which for reasons I don't understand isn't fixing it.
Are you on windows 10? I've heard a few people saying it doesn't always play nicely with skyrim. And do you use NMM or MO or something else? Not sure what else might be affecting this so I'm going to ask round on the forums to see if anybody else is experiencing similar issues with this and if they've managed to fix it.
May have found the source of the problem... I'm a moron! I was so focused on the face textures I completely missed the face meshes, which is why it worked fine for me cause they were already there. I've added them into v1.1 so hopefully it should work now. Sorry about that and let me know if it's fixed
This would be awesome if the girls didn't still have boobs! I wish someone would take the time to make real children for the beast races. You could just use the child meshes in-game and retexture them with beast textures, slap beast head meshes on them and viola!

I do mention in the description they are resized adults, and it was a mod I built for me and decided to share.
It's also not so simple as just retexturing the child meshes, the tails for both races are built into their skeleton files, and not included in the child meshes. I'd also guess the head models would need editing to match up the neck seems, and sadly I'm not a modeler so that's a bit out of my skill range.
Oh I totally understand, I was just saying in a perfect world. XD You could ask one of the creators of the other beast kid mods how they managed to get them to look more childlike?
Which mods are you talking about? I know my little kitty ma-rakha and my little hatchling ram-ku, which I think have slightly bigger eyes than normal, but are boys so don't have boobs. Maisha I think also has bigger eyes, but along with the adoptable argonian hatchling also has boobs, unless they've been updated since I last looked.
If you know some more I'll gladly have a look and talk to their creators about it
I did think about this but just rescaling the elf races ends up with really creepy looking kids. You could try kidmer by tesseractangular, it's the best elf kid mod I've seen.

Yeah the roomies has the kids as adult sized, as requested by grimkusangagi. They still treat you like mom or dad and act as kids, just bigger.
