Great mod, for some reason I haven't seen much change in reactions to looting in more punishable crimes. I disabled that part and added this mod. I got caught by an Imperial Soldier trying to make off with his fallen mates bow. He wasn't pleased and took the bow off me. Just the kind of looting mod I wanted.

instanude feels buggy, any way to disable that?

Is this mod compatible with More Punishable Crimes, or could a patch be made?

Also, could we get this ported to SSE? If you're not up for it, could permission be given to someone to do so? I'd be glad to port it and put it up on the SSE nexus with your permission.

I have abandoned the SSE conversion of my mods for now, so you are welcome to port it and post it (please link back to/credit the original).

I think if you disable the the redundant part of More Punishable Crimes ("set MPCLooting to 0" in the console), they should work fine together.

Alright. I may go ahead and do such a port.

However, quick question: Is this mod the one responsible for making NPCs turn naked when you go to loot them? (They re-equip their armor once after closing the inventory)

Well that's what the description says it does, so probably.

Odd. I don't see the description mention that anywhere, though I could have missed it.

"As a side effect of marking all of their goods as stolen, NPCs will be denuded as soon as they are activated. They will re-equip armor when you close the menu."

    Is this mod script heavy?

Maybe a skosh. A script runs every time you enter a bandit camp, Nord ruin, dwemer ruin, or Forsworn camp, and every time you click on a body if the body meets the requirements you set in the MCM. However there are no background scripts or constantly updating scripts, so there shouldn't be anything interfering with combat (which is when you probably have the most scripts running and their timing is most crucial).

Nice mod i'm currently playing SSE but i will download this mod for a possible future SKSE64 and port or an Oldrim playthrough.

Have you consider the possibility to add buyable time limited permits at each yarl stewart to allow for looting archeological (nordic or Dwemer) exploration, or Bandit Loot Hunting in a determined Hold? (if it's technically possible to implement i mean)

Not a bad idea. It's possible and even not that difficult, I will definitely add it to the list for future versions.

Seems this mod caused Quick Loot mod to fail?
Also every time search a body they got totally stripped to naked...

Quick loot doesn't work if the activation of an object is blocked by a perk. That's deliberate, so you can't bypass the script attached to the perk.

And yes, everytime you search a body it will be stripped naked. That is a necessary evil.

I kept skipping over this assuming it wasn't configurable, only to be pleasantly surprised when I finally bit the bullet and found out otherwise! I went ahead and uploaded an image of the MCM to the image share. =)

Just wondering, does this mod's changes only apply to chests and lootable bodies? Meaning that items on altars or on the ground would not be banned from looting? Like if I, for example, were to clear out a cave of dogs and retrieve the majestic sword called: "A TRUE man's best friend" would that be illegal?

It applies to bandit hideouts, dwemer ruins, crypts, undead, humanoids, and dwemer constructs. I've never heard of the dungeon you describe so I have no idea if it qualifies.

Hello. I just looked for such a mod because I've recently been trying to play as immersively as I can and I always thought that grave-robbing should have been a crime, though this would make clearing ruins and camps much less rewarding, and the economy much less alive lol. So far, I've used Quick Tomb Looting, because I felt it wrong to loot the very urns lol, and Loot and Degradation, because it didn't seem immersive that the player-character was the only one who actually loots.

Questions: (1) Have you considered increasing the rewards for bounty missions? (2) What of the suspiciously large amount of gold that can be looted from the corpses in Meridia's temple? (3) How about this mod's interaction with Loot and Degradation where NPCs can loot corpses? Will NPCs indeed take their items albeit marked as stolen?

I'm looking forward to the final MCM version. Tracking for now~

None of that is really within the scope of this mod.

Bit late, but in case you're still looking for a mod that increases the rewards for bounty missions, there's Bounty Gold, a mod that lets you adjust the rewards via a simple MCM menu.

Is the fact that bodies only re-equip body armor a feature or something necessary due to engine limitations? It feels really weird when you take nothing from a body and they're suddenly barefooted and without gloves... And it gets even worse when you use mods that add cloaks and hoods.

Did I say something wrong? English is not my first language. There's no need to be rude, I was just giving feedback. I like the mod and I use it, but I don't like that part of it. I thought maybe there was a reason for you to implement what I was talking about.

No, you didn't say anything wrong. You asked a question and the answer was "neither." In English this is not considered a rude word.

"Neither" is a deliberately incomplete answer. "Neither, I just like it this way" or "Neither, and I prefer not to tell" would have been enough.
I'm not questioning your work, I just thought there was a good reason for that because it doesn't feel consistent in a mod which seems to be made to increase consistency in this game.
But it's your mod, your decision... so I'll politely stop asking. Thanks anyway.

"Neither" is the entirely sufficient answer to your question, which is what you get when I am checking my messages on my phone because I hate typing on the damn thing. Not everything is about you.

NPCs only re-equip body items because:

      1. I actually preferred to leave the bodies nude so I could tell which corpses I had already looted, but
      2. Some other commenters felt it was too weird to have a dungeon full of naked dead people scattered about after looting them, so
      3. I initially made corpses redress themselves completely, but
      4. It was weird to me that they put the clothing back on one piece at a time, which took extra time and drew more attention to itself, so
      5. I made it so the NPCs only re-equip armor, which happens more-or-less instantly and still lets me check people's feet to see if they have been looted, without the awkwardness of nude corpses all over the place.

As you can see it was an entirely aesthetic choice on my part. It is easy enough to change if you know a little bit about modding and want to restore the older functionality on your version of the mod. Let me know if you would like instructions.
