(don't want to read the whole description ? see the readme for a short summary)

What does this mod do ?

If you ever wondered how even the poorest blacksmiths in Skyrim could get a hefty shipment of rare metals like ebony or quicksilver each week, this mod is for you !

Now rare metals are actually rare, and you'll have to struggle to find enough ebony to craft a full armor ! I've made this mod for myself, to somewhat balance armor-crafting characters, and have a more lore-friendly metal supply in my game.

Okay, but what does it do exactly ?

Leveled lists of the merchants and blacksmith around Skyrim have been altered to reach several goals:

-now general goods merchants won't sell rare crafting metals anymore. They'll only sell ore & ingots that would still be used by townpeople or other merchants, i.e. iron, corundum, steel, silver, and gold. Don't count on Belethor to satisfy your moonstone needs anymore.

-most blacksmiths can still have all kinds of metals eventually (with the exception of silver & gold ; after all you can't make weapons or armour out of these! ), but they'll have much less chance to have a big stock of the rarest metals, and the level at which these metals start to appear in their trading list have been increased.

-some blacksmith will have a bigger stock of given metals depending on their location; Markarth smiths will have more dwarven and silver ingots and ore, orc stronghold smiths will have more orichalcum, smiths in the east of Skyrim will have more ebony, etc. The idea is : "want more of that rare metal to craft an armor ? Got get it where it comes from. "

Here's a list :

-common metals : iron, steel, corundum. Every blacksmith will very likely have some, and they'll appear at level 1.

-medium metals : again all blacksmith can have some, but less than the common ones. Blacksmiths in villages and orc stronghold will have very poor stock of these. These are :

Orichalcum, starting at level 5, lots of it in orc strongholds with an orichalcum mine.
Dwarven and moonstone, starting at level 10. Lots of dwarven ingots in Markarth, lots of moonstone in Solitude. The Dawnguard will also have more dwarven ingots.

-rarest metals : Orc stronghold and villages won't have any (except when it comes from here!), and other blacksmiths will have a very poor stock. The idea is that they just sometimes stumble upon some in a shipment. If you need a lot, you'll get it faster by going to the other side of the country where there's more of it rather than hoping to find some randomly. These are:

Quicksilver and malachite, starting at level 25. Quicksilver is found in Dawnstar, malachite in Solitude.
Ebony, starting at level 35. It is found in the eastern part of Skyrim and on Solstheim, especially in Shor's stone and Raven Rock.

Eorlund will have a 50% bigger metal stock than the average smith.

What are the requirements ?

Skyrim latest version, Dawnguard, Dragonborn. Maybe I'll make separate versions depeding on what DLC you have in the future.

How do I install it ?

Download and put the .esp in the Data folder of your Skyrim folder, or just use NMM.

What is it compatible with ?

Likely anything that doesn't alter the merchants container chests. I need further testing to know more exactly what would make this incompatible or not.

Tested compatibilities :
Morrowloot
Morrowind Imports

This mod was made with a french version of the CK, but should work seamlessly with other languages. If it doesn't, I can make an english version.
