Those of ya havin' a pink disco sword, that was my fault. I packed the texture folder wrong 'cause of being too hasty. I just uploaded 1.01 that fixes it, so download away!
Cool mod I was just wondering are u going to port this mod over to skyrim se for Xbox players I'm just asking or any of your weapon mods for a chance u get more popular and u help out Xbox players
Greetings. I decided to build my skyrim now, and then I came across your work. Muzhik, you fire your swords is something, very qualitative and beautiful.)
sorry for my bad English. But please send me the location picture, i can't find the sword or can anyone tell me the console command of this mod, i really want to try the sword
That video covers how to get the Paragons, but Kusanagi's located near the Ruby Paragon frost giant, and that vid shows where said giant is located. If I remember right there's another door opened by the Ewer where the giant in question is located, so you'll want to look for that once you get to that spot.
Sorry if my english is a bit weird. I just want to say I like this sword so much. Give a big endorsement. And I also want to ask for a permission about update retexture patch. Only additional textures will be uploaded and require download original file to get work. I wont do anything until I get your permission. Thank you for this great sword.
Thank you. I credit you and let you have the edit authority if you feel anything go wrong. You can see the retexture file here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85639
Ah, neat. The bluing looks pretty nice. Of note though, the normal maps are unchanged, so you can see the original Japanese text in faint relief below the Daedric runes.
I have Tenebrae and this sword...but with thisnone the Crescent wind doesn't work for some reason and its lower on the mod liat but not at the bottom. Loot. All other effects seem to work
The power attack effect is script-governed, and it seems kind of sensitive to script lag, so if it's bad enough the script can just fail to complete and the effect won't occur. It might resolve itself though if you carry on for a little while without doing the power attack stuff.
thanks for your reply i will try to do so as i had a similar thing with Tenebrae where the magic powers wouldnt show up only the power attacks and melee effects which was fine with me. though just an hour ago i started a new game with no mods that i now can add scripts. i mean really bare no followers, no weather effects, no magic, almost vanilla...i used Alt start and CC the sword. i tried a power attack in the cell and nothing happend again. but like i said ill try to play more with it and see what happens.
Something also could be preventing the quest governing the power attack effect from starting, though what exactly I wouldn't know. You can try kickstarting it by putting "startquest KusanagiStrikeQST" into the console, without quotes. No guarantee it'll work right away, but it might at least nudge things in the right direction.
No surprise; the BSA header is likely different between Oldrim and SSE, so it won't work unless the files are packed with the SE Creation Kit. It is good to hear it works fine regardless, though a proper port will be done eventually.
I really love this sword, it's so unique and really suits my tastes. One of the best weapons on the nexus imo. I do have a request if you'll hear it though. I really wish there was a version of this with 'normal' weapon speeds. I figure its just for fun but the speed makes it OP compared to anything vanilla. I did try to edit it myself in the CK, but I broke the wave effect somehow But yeah if there was a balanced version I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!
Modifying the swing speed shouldn't affect the power attack effects, unless you ended up messing with something else in the mod that ended up disrupting the setup of the effect. Nonetheless, I've fairly recently taken to making 1-handed swords swing faster than in vanilla because the vanilla speed had begun to feel unrealistically slow to me; 1-handed swords IRL aren't exactly sluggish, after all. Combined with the proper combat mods, it can make combat feel quite exhilarating and fast-paced, rather than a plodding slapfest. But, that's just my preference.
Hey thanks for hearing me out. I think my problem with the wave effect is related to something else entirely as a reinstall did not bring it back, frustrating but I'll figure it out eventually. You're right about swing speed though, naturally you have to swing fast to cut anything, it just feels out of place because vanilla is so slow.
It might be script lag or what I call script congestion (the latter is bad news and hopefully not the cause) causing the waves to not function. They might function again if you just faff about for a little while with a different weapon. In case you're wondering, script congestion is the term I use for when your Papyrus processing is so gunked up that scripts will end up piling up and ultimately block each other from even parsing, causing a suspension of script effects. Usually doing a fresh save (by hitting New Save rather than overwriting any others), quitting, then reloading will loosen up the clogged scripts.
