Really nice, it works for me, with Phenom II X6. Just trying several values for inumthread to find the best one. Anyway, by consulting Skyrim Performance Monitor, I see that the proc doesn't work so much, even with strong shadows. The repartition of threads helps, but CTD's an bad stuff like that are caused too by problems in the memory gestion. Use these tweaks with Memory Patch both. Some lines to write in your SKSE.ini files.
i...what? the "threading" options do absolutely nothing for performance. they cause nothing but random bugs and CTD's. you have to turn OFF all threading for this game, because it is not capable of working properly when using those options. is this somehow not common knowledge?
Hello guys, I'm hoping I can get some clarification here. I have looked at these settings, though have not tried them yet, for a simple reason...
I have noticed that the majority of posts are for Intel Processors - i5, i7 etc. I currently use an AMD FX Black Edition 8-Cores running at 3.5 GHz 8 gig Corsair RAM and a GTX 750 Ti Graphics Card, with Windows 7 Home Premium Edition.
I have asked Technical Support divisions in various stores, who have all told me that AMD Processors DO NOT support Hyperthreading. That being the case, will these settings actually work for me? If they will, could you post a set up that I can paste into my Skyrim.ini file, please?
Hyperthreading means CPU cores can handle 2 hardware threads. Without hyperthreading, CPU cores can handle 1 hardware thread. Your CPU has 8 cores but no hyperthreading, so it can handle 8 hardware threads. Go with these settings below:
