Hey, guys! I am sorry about the .exe file that was in there. This is my first mod that I uploaded to Nexus so I was a little wary about changing the .esp to a .exe. They wouldn't let me upload it by its self. I didn't know that you were supposed to put it into a .zip. Thanks for all the notice I will fix that in future mods! Thanks!
I'm sure you've got the idea form the guys below about the .exe - just rename it back to .esp and reupload to solve that.
An issue I had is the chosen images - I opening this mod thinking it was a HQ model and texture replacement for the steel sword. I think the images are a little misleading, the first anyway, since that isn't how someones steel sword will look after using the mod. I'd suggest some combat shots using the sword since there aren't really any more appropriate images for this mod.
Other than that I like the idea, I always thought this trusty weapon was a little underpowered. However, I would have done more than just the steel sword - your upcoming armor version could have been combined with this into a larger mod. The concept you're aiming for is fairly simple and in a larger package could be quite useful but as very small standalone mods they're not really worth an extra .esp in most peoples already long load order.
Keep up the work though, keep learning the CK - it can be a powerful tool.
Since you're able to do the basics with the CK, I'd suggest making a crafting recipe that takes a regular Steel Sword, and 'crafts' it into the improved version you have here. That way the balance of enemies stays the same, and the early game isn't too 'cheaty'.
Also, why did you pack this in an executable? There's nothing in this mod that necessitates it, and you could be doing who knows what in the background.
Don't worry, no virus. Just a renamed ESP file. Open it in Notepad++ or something, you will see the header at the start (.exe normally MZ) and some other Skyrim related information.
Just FYI, executables look mighty suspicious around here. We've had subversives try to con people into downloading virus-ridden executables.
However, another telltale sign of this is that they lock comments so no one can raise the alarm, and they usually spoof popular mods... neither of which are happening here.
I strongly recommend 7-zip to pack your mods. Executable unpackers are too much of a black box.
the only problem i can find with this, is that since it's a replacer, wouldnt you have trouble at the beginning of the game towards enemies which have this weapon? other than that, this sounds pretty neat

What the f*ck made you thing this is a good idea, shrunkgibbon?
ZIP the ESP and upload, then it works manually and with any mod manager.
