For anyone asking, just 2 of the 4 ESPs are required; the main ( Northfires Photoreal Mountains. esp) and one of the "ESP Moss".
If you don't have any of the DLCs, you only need the "Moss.esp". If you have only the Dragonborn DLC, you only need the "Moss_DB.esp". If you have the legendary version of the game with all the DLCs, you only need the "Moss - Legendary.esp".
P.S. : Best looking mountains for Skyrim, and the best of all it does not affect your performance.
Are there parallax files missing from the "Moss Legendary" download? I ask because I tried to load the file in the construction set and I got an message saying something like WhiterunThrone_p.dds could not be found. I clicked "yes to all" so I don't know whether there were others.
You're right. It's a parallax texture mod that's causing the problem - I just incorrectly associated it with this mod because it was the one I was actively loading. Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks so much for this. It may sound odd that for a mountain mod but it seriously helped me with frustrations of not being able to get skyrim looking as beautiful as I wanted it to
I'm not quite sure, memorys failing due to massive tweaking of all the textures but i think it's an interior imperial wall texture from Tamriel Reloaded. Color corrected to match the mountains.
When you want to disable the parallax by its meshes you need to modify all meshes which are included and that would be very time consuming. Why do you want to remove Parallax i mean you can use that feature even without an ENB ?
You can use parallax without an enb? Are you certain? I heard somewhere that you need to be running an enb to use parallax because the enb files enable parallax in Skyrim. My understanding was that if you use a mod with parallax in it without an enb installed the mountains would look wonky. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/2k573s/possibly_dumb_question_running_parallax_without/ This source says you do need an enb installed to use parallax, and that using parallax without an enb will look weird.
Edit: I'd be perfectly fine with using parallax if I don't need to have an enb installed for it to work.
