It always irked me that the only legitimate way of obtaining the Skaal Armor was taking it from a dead Skaal villager, however they came to be dead. In a society such as theirs, trade with outsiders is highly beneficial, and as such it made little sense to me that they would not be selling their unique equipment.

This mod adds a merchant to the Skaal Village who sells both the basic Skaal Armor pieces, and Reinforced Skaal Armor pieces, at a higher level. The basic armor retains its vanilla stats, while the Reinforced armor has been balanced to be competitive with Glass Armor (because Glass Armor is ugly as all hell). Further to this, the Reinforced armor can be tempered to be viable for longer and with the right perks and enchantments you can probably achieve max armor resistance with it.

Runa sells a variety of Skaal armor pieces, and she is not guaranteed to have everything all the time. As such you will probably need to visit her a few times to obtain a full set. The reinforced armor pieces unlock around level 30. The armor is tempered with Cave Bear pelts. Runa herself uses all vanilla assets, so will be greatly enhanced by any cosmetic mods you use.
