Frost & Fire is a great combination ... as soon as I advance a new character up to the dual-enchanting perk, I make a sword with frost & fire for him. My current favorite weapon to make/use, I have nicknamed "Awestriker" (had to use an "A" word to keep it near or at the top of my favorites) -- it's an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow (Legendary) with frost and fire enchantments, and I use Dwarven Bolts of Exploding Shock with it ... the perfect trifecta of destruction magic enchantments in one compact killing machine!
Personally, I love the combination of spells together. Maybe a way to actually combine them once you get the dual cast overcharge perk. It is just a thought. But I know it may be a 'cheat' in a way but I have also had interest in a mod that can slow down time for very short periods of time or a type of haste spell for player. Is that something you might also be interested in do as well? I've never made a mod before and dont really know the first thing but I am intrigued by the open ability for anyone to make one. I plan to follow this mod you are starting for a long time. Cheers!
Mods are the main reason skyrim is still alive, Never to late. but i already like your style, with the combined elements. i personally would love mods that do that.
Ill be tracking this mod for now, but looking forward to see what you do to it (specially your conjuration spells; id like to do a druid style play through; I also think that frost fire spell is pretty neat too). I'd definetly like to see more Illusionist spells (being my favorite school). Good luck with your skyrim Endeavors!
