I don't know how to make LOD files If you'd like something that's a little closer to these textures so the gold doesn't pop in too obviously, you can try this file for the time being, it's made for More Dwemered Textures so it has the gold decorations. Requires DynDOLOD.

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71605?

I have too much other stuff to fix first so I'm not looking to get into LODs for a while. But if anyone wants to do it themselves you totally have my permission to do it and upload it, I'll link it.

    Edit 9/12/16

So RL has been smacking me around a lot lately and I'm no longer in a position to mod or play much of anything right now. For one thing, my apartment got broken into, and my gaming machine got stolen (not to mention my dumb a** got shot). Then my backup, a spare parts machine I put together on the fly, got infected with the worst virus I've ever seen and my identity got hacked/stolen with it. When I humbled myself and tried to get it worked on by someone else, it started arcin' and sparkin' and in the end very little hardware of even THAT crap machine is salvagable. So I'm stuck on a 7 year old laptop that was never intended for gaming even when it was new. It's pretty much for email and paying bills, and not much else. I'm working on getting my s*** together again but it's slow going, I'm a broke college kid/waitress and "saving" for anything takes time and sacrifice.

Of course I'll be back, and of course I'll always mod my games, and of course I'll always come back to the nexus. But for now I'm afraid I have to call this and all my files "as is"... Anyone who'd like to use this or anything else of mine as a resource is welcome to, credit is appreciated. Please no reuploads to the workshop, ever, anything else I'm probably cool with.

Hello. I really really like what you did with these textures. I want to thank you because these are really nice to look at, not blinding and those ugly seams that were present in White City are also gone. And it doesn't crash my game - a nice "little" bonus. :D So thank you. :)

Might want to throw in the desc somewhere the resolution these are, or compared to the vanilla or vanilla hi-rez.

Wow, Katy, this is very nice. Really diggin' the white/gold contrast and... I get two mods for the price of one!

Only critique I have is that a few of the gold/bronze objects look to be lower-res than the others - like the blocks with the thieves guild shadowmarks, for example. But overall, this is much better than bland old vanilla Markarth, so it stays.

Yeah, I think it's dwestoneborders.dds? or something like that. It's the same resolution but when I added the overlay there must have been too much white on my palette or something, it got kind of a washed out look. Sometime this weekend I'll get around to fixing it, plus I've been working on adding some noise around the edges where I thought the contrast was too high/it looked too "flat". The piece that makes up the railing in Markarth is one of those...

Anyway thanks for the help and being a guinea pig as usual It'll only get better.

Hey, great work! I've been using White City for the longest time. So few Markarth re-textures out there. I admit, white city is a little too... white in some places. But the mix you have here adds a nice pop of color that really evens out the white and gold. Thanks.

Well Markarth was the only city in Skyrim that actually looked "OK" out of the box, which probably is why there are so few overhauls for it. But with a ton of lighting mods the White City didn't look right, especially in Blackreach and other old Dwemer ruins. Are you guys really saying I don't need to do anything to this? Because I think it needs work.
