Finally got it, thanks so much for the crash course! I went through everything you mentioned. opened the .cfg file(had not looked at it before), read the manual as you mentioned. I noticed the color value was as you said already set by default but because of the ENB i'm using the color was very close to white or beige and I could not note the difference(yes, even on a 40" =__=). I looked up HTML color values and put a crisp yellow (FFFF00), loaded the game up and noticed the difference. After reading the manual and looking at all the values in the .cfg I know how to tweak my own Categorized Favorites Menu. Again thanks!

I haven't changed the colours myself. Just the height of the menu and the space between the rows, and the position on the screen. The rest are quite standard from the two mods I mentioned. Including colours.

I think what you are looking for are favoritesmenu.cfg in the same folder. That's where the standard options of the original Categorized Favorites Menu (hereafter called CFM) are. The changes in "my" file are just the "save file" for changeings from there. Removing favoritesmenu_overrides.cfg will just make the original valutes in favoritesmenu.cfg count again. Next time you change options in CFM ingame, like moving the menu up/down with Ctrl-s or w and then closes it again the favoritesmenu.cfg will be created or changed.

So I suppose adding some of the rows in the top of the file like default_sublist_title_color = #FFFF99 into the favoritesmenu_overrides.cfg and change them will do what you want.

What I actually did when I made this was to read "Custom Configuration Files" at the main site of CFM. Then I reinstalled CFM 0.1.8.2, then Better Sorting 2.04 -custom installation - Install CFM config (overwrite all, it's CFM files that are overwritten). After that I changed the favoritesmenu_overrides.cfg.

I am using a 40" LED and this seems to work perfectly for me. My favorite's menu doesn't seem to have that slight lag you would sometimes get when opening your equip menu. Instead it's very smooth like when you pause the game with ESC key. Also the less scrolling I need to do the better, so the resolution is great also. Still though everything is very convoluted and mushed together. I like how you have the categories highlighted in yellow in your screen shots rather than white like the selections. Is there a way to change this configuration to have the categories stand out like you have them there?

@Wickedcircle Yes, but the image quality is far worse, plus they tend to break down if you place speakers close to them, due to the magnets that affect CRT monitors.

I had 3 of the things break down until I finally realized it was my speakers that were causing the problem lol.

And I'm not trying to bash on CRT monitors. I was just curious if he had a CRT, and if he didnt, which TFT supports 1600x1200, because I dont know any models that support that res.

No. I think I know too little about configuration and modding for that. Besides, I don't use that mod. I just made this for myself, and uploaded it because I haven't found any suitable config yet and wanted to help others that are as useless as me in terms of modding.
