i seem to have a problem where the bow disappears from sight entirely when i sheath and then unsheath it?? like it’ll be fine and showing up slightly ethereal but it just completely disappears when i unsheath it for a second time
I did notice though that there seems to be a hole through it in 1st person view which doesn't look like it should be there - just above (& below) the grip area...

I noticed this as well. Glad to hear it is not just me. A little hard to tell because the bow is a bit ethereal - and I quite like that feature. But yes, it does look like a couple 'empty' small round places on the bow staff above and below the grip noticeable in first person.
I love the weapon, but I'm not using any ENBs or other lighting mods except for ELO, and the bow is very pale, and doesn't show up well on the character. Is there any way you could put up a version with more intensified color?
Part of the problem might be I'm using a mod, Always Cloudy Weather, which renders Skyrim constantly overcast, with a lot of rain.
I'm not using any ENB or lighting mods either and found the brightness of the bow to be just about right. It is somewhat ethereal in nature and I think that aspect is good as is. Just my two septims.
Beautiful looking bow! I installed it via NMM, placed it dead last in my load order and did some testing.
Crafting the bow went fine. As did adding it via command console.
I quickly noticed the bow does not have a bow string – at all. Given the semi-ethereal nature of the weapon I suppose some would be fine with that. I do consider it a notable drawback.
When I had the bow in my hand and pressed a hotkey to change to a spell, I got a CTD.No problem if the bow is on my back. But if the bow is in my hand and I switch to a spell (tried several spells) I get an instant CTD.
I do use SkyUI, SKSE, SmartCast, Longer bows & closer quivers along with a couple dozen mods that are not related to either archery nor spells. The spells I induced CTD with were vanilla spells triggered by a normal hotkey.But as I said, I did my testing with your mod dead last in my load order. Given that I do use other mods, I cannot certify that my CTD is due to your mod but, unfortunately, it does rule it out for my use.
With a bowstring and no CTD, I do believe I’d instantly change to this beautiful bow as my primary weapon – so I’m interested to see if others have similar observations/problems or if is just peculiar to my installation.
Again, fabulous work on the design, shape and textures of this beautiful weapon!
I also got a crash when I dropped it on the ground, although I wasn't thinking it was due to the bow, as I've had random crashes before & it worked OK the next couple of times...
About those CTDs, I did CTD when trying to place it on a wall mounted weapon rack for screenshots but after one I didn't try again. Other than that I've had no CTD errors with it. If more people are having issues I'll look into it a bit more.
And funny thing about the string is that I did add one. Something must have messed up in nifscope on my end when texturing it and I kinda just let it slide. I'll post a fix for that sometime in the next day or so. (Maybe that's what is causing the CTD?)
