Sterk, you forgot to include the textures in the archive. My poor argonian was invisible, aside from his tail. Might want to include those. Kind of hard for me to make screenshots with an invisible character.
I've included them in the archive as of now. If you use a mod installer, like NMM, or MO, that will do all the work. If you install it manually, open the archive with a tool like 7Zip or WinRar, and cut or copy and paste the Ebonsteel.esp and meshes and textures files into your Skyrim data folder. Try to uninstall both versions, and then just install V1.2 with MO. What race and gender is your character? I'm not certain if it works with beast races yet, I'm still testing it. Let me know if that doesn't work.
It's not just all black steel plate.It's a new set of Ebony armour, with higher stats. Armour rating is 52 for Cuirass, 19 for boots and gauntlets, and 25 for helmet. It's a standalone, high rating armour.

As a standalone armour shouldn't there be a mesh folder in there somewhere? I don't see one. I also am not sure that I know what I am talking about.
