LAST DEMO UPDATE: Don’t worry. Every day I try to put more development into this mod. This is the final DEMO update because now I have a lot of content in my dummy .esps piling up now that I want to port over into my official .esp—this one.
In this UPDATE, I have:
-Ported in a couple of combat dialogue lines and Kate re-recorded the potions line.
-Tweaked Enid's face. I am going to change it further in the final version to match with Kate's voice and Enid's personality more. This means that the change can be be either very minor or maybe a new face altogether.

If you don't have the expansions already, please buy them at the Steam Christmas sale!
Expect the mod to be re-released again on the Nexus in 2016! I should be done Episode 2 and 3 by March. By estimate.

It would be a good idea to re-work her face though, just saying. Not to make her look "cute", "sexy" etc. But she should at least look like someone who resembles human... with appropriate facial anatomy.
Nope. No face change whatsoever. Might give a closed lip version eventually.

My mod isn't too heavy with things, so it should be fine.
I realized putting out a loosefile version with just meshes only is actually pretty easy. Give me a few minutes to do it and upload it. Just so that you're .NIF and other files will replace the proper FaceGen files.

I don't like arguing, but I genuinely really like the way she looks. Maybe in different contexts it would be out of place (games where everyone is a supermodel for no explainable reason) but The Elder Scrolls isn't one of those series - by far, the more obvious thing in the NPCs is that they look interesting. Plus I think she's cute I know people with those sorts of facial proportions (they aren't that dissimilar to my own, to be honest) so while I can understand if it isn't to everyone's taste there's nothing unrealistic about the anatomy of it all as some people are suggesting.

I love it when Enid snaps at me for "bumping into her chest", which usually happens when she runs plum into me while dungeon crawling. Stupid game engine bug with all followers. Even Sofia runs into me & she's the worst offender of the bunch. Regardless, I'll be looking forward to word via PM or e-mail about the upcoming beta test once Enid reaches beta status. Peace.
I hate to say it, as much as I adore Sofia, I know bash her in the face or back with my bow when she flies into me. I'm usually in sneak mode, 1stperson in caves, and she has literally scared me to jumping. She needs to be trained, lol. I have been holding off for the finished work of Enid, but I am more and more tempted now to download her knowing now that she will "snap" at me.
This looks like a great follower mod, great voiced and options on her Thanks for sharing your creation with us,great to see a video too and gave you kudo's for her, but my one gripe is it I think her mouth is a little to open to much for the speech in words, i know lip syncing with the speech can get annoying, but this area looks a little creepy she's talking while doing a big cheesy grin from what I saw in then video .. Video and appearance is old. In my Sile+Kiera Witcher Dress mod Enid looks a lot different and probably won't have that weird grin since I changed her mouth shape.
But yes, lip syncing in Skyrim I think is so far impossible to correct. And its annoying, I know. ><
Its a lot bigger than I expected, so that's why its taking so long. Asides Enid, there's going to be other two voiced followers and on top of that being three big quests and new armor, monsters, etc. Learning 3d modelling and making the world for the 2nd quest is a big doozy that its taking forever to get done.
When I feel like I have enough content to put a GOOD trailer, I'll update this page and let you guys know.
Will a clean save/new game be required when Enid is officially released next year since this is a demo version or can we upgrade normally when that time comes? Just looking for a heads-up so I know what to do when update time comes next year. Thanks.
YES. A new save game will be required just because in the actual mod you can't recruit Enid instantlly at the start of the game. I'll put that up in the description. Thank you for reminding me.
Thanks for the heads-up. Glad I asked this question as so-called "clean saves" always end in failure on my end. I've followed countless so-called "guides" to cleaning out scripts from one's saves & have found that it simply cannot be done period. Will make sure to start a fresh playthrough when the official Enid comes out.
Console commands. That's what I do. Type in setstage MQ106 170 and BOOM you're quest has progressed to where you talk to Delphine after you've killed off the first Alduin dragon.
Unless you don't want to skip those main quests. You'll have a few months to slowly play through them then. xD
I wished that the story didn't have to start so late, but I like it enough that I can't change it now. ><
I probably will add an alternative to where you can start my mod after you finish the sidequest of killing the Thalmor at Northwatch Keep but thinking on how I should script that is making my brain melt at the moment.
That would be AMAZING, but I can imagine how much of a nightmare coding that would be D: but if I can keep my save so long as I don't get to that part, that's wonderful! backtorecordingnowipromise

Just the problem I’m thinking of is how not to get Enid not to appear at the Embassy if you decide to complete the sidequest first and are now starting Diplomatic Immunity. Or what if you have completed Diplomatic Immunity and are now going to free Thorald with Enid around.
Right now the hamster wheel is churning and I think I can do it with a bool or a global variable. Will ask Matt or Chesko eventually if I'm correct about this though, because they’re Papyrus gurus.
Be careful if you plan to have an alternate start at Northwatch Keep. I use Rigmor of Bruma, an excellent custom follower mod with a lengthy questline & Rigmor also utilizes Northwatch Keep during her quest as well. Just giving you the heads-up in an effort to prevent conflicts between Enid & us Rigmor of Bruma users. Thanks.
nice! like the voice and the way she looks. the only thing that disturbs me abit is the movement of the lips in the video , but i guess it cant be done any better. bummer. maybe it is because i have played all these other games and now im coming back here and am spoiled or something. anyway. i wish you guys well and good luck with the mod!
Enid's mouth was a ONCE smile and currently its a normal frown in the version I was working on. xD The videos are old so the bug with the open teeth thing is fixed even in the demo.
I *love* that voice in the video, but it appears the recordings were made in a small room from the echo. It sounded a bit strange when she is outside. Can be somewhat fixed in software with gating - but the ideal would be to have the lines be recorded dry and let the game apply the effects when needed (indoors, outdoors, cave, etc.)
Kate moved into a new home so we'll see if the recording quality gets better! Just been busy at the moment to send her new lines or to listen to her new stuff. xD
