The "Simple Follower Mount - Toggle" file will start a quest every time you mount a horse or hit the right Alt key and apply a custom AI to followers in the area (up to 5) to mount available horses in the player faction. Use the extreme complicated MCM menu to configure your trigger, hotkey (Default right Alt) and update time.
The "Simple Follower Mount - Dynamic" file will start a quest every time you mount a horse and apply a custom AI to followers in the area (up to 5) to mount available horses in the player faction.

No follower dialogue (quest) is touched and no scripts are being attached to the followers or horses. Once you dismount they are oblivious something happened to them.
Please use 2.2 now...
There is an optional patch for Immersive Horses 2.0, it replaces the AFT stable quest with the one from IH. Now you can buy saddles and other horse stuff at the stables. It allows to load AFT after IH and work around problems with other mods in between. Just load the patch after AFT (LOOT will do this for you).
No offense but this is the most janky mod I've ever used lmao.
Using toggle mode, I can only get all 3 of my followers to mount up maybe 25% of the time. Dynamic mode? Don't even get me started. First of all, it completely disables the hotkey, so you can't just tell them to mount up if they're being stupid. They take forever to mount up and very often end up stuck in screwed up animation where they're floating mid-air spinning around following me around instead of being on a horse. If I go too far ahead of them, they get lost. I went to Riften from the nearby mill by horse, the entire time inside none of my followers were anywhere to by found(my follower mod teleports me to them automatically...unless they're on a horse). Go outside Riften, use the summon herd command from Immersive Horses. ONE horse shows up, one of my followers shows up, and she is literally swimming while floating around. Other 2 followers? No idea lol.
You tried. I really wanted something like this because I'm running a Requiem based modlist and don't want to go through the hassle of repatching things by switching to a follower overhaul that includes mounted horses but this mod...this is a nightmare lol.
This seems to work with Skyrim SE. I set the script to run every second. I am using Elephant's tool to monitor scripts. That tool is same as the tool in Convenient Horses.
Can I also get a copy of your SSE version? I've wracking my brains to make my followers use mount as well (I'm using iAFT and Immersive Horses) and this seems to be the fix. Did you use this mod as is or used CK to convert it? Thanks in advance!
Makes me wonder though if the patch for Immersive Horses + AFT included in this mod would also work with iAFT.
This mod has been included in collection "The Elders Scroll V: Skyrim: God Amongst All Edition 05/14/2018". Thank you for your perfected addition to this astonishing mod collection. Please check it out at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=106745968 or go to Skyrim Community Workshop Collections, and search for The Elders Scroll V: Skyrim: God Amongst All Edition 05/14/2018
@DeadlyDanDaMan I don't know what your beef with IH is, but I've used both and there's no reason to hate on one or the other. They're both fine and playstyle will determine which you pick. I prefer IH myself, and that's the more popular of the two.
Convenient horses does not include a key to force mount or dismount if follower fails to do so. Convenient Horses does not have left or right dismount. Convenient Horses requires fast clicks for inventory, some people can't click fast. Maybe Convenient Horses attaches scripts to actors and/or horses. Immersive Horses is ready to use without a long quest process to do or bypass. Immersive Horses let's you add rideable world space. Immersive Horses let's you command the herd and any horse individually. Lots of work done here. Many other differences, both are great.
There are MANY follower mods and MANY reasons to use different ones and some of us DON'T use followers often. With endless mods and endless options we need to appreciate all the hard work done by all horse mods and all follower mods. This author has provided something for all of us. Ask yourself how much you have done on Nexus for other gamers and mostly what does your comment do for others. Maybe you should do a full review to clear your ignorance.
I love both mods and use both mods with different characters.
Lol - if you look at the text with the red border just above your post (i.e. the very first post on this page), you will see all the answers to your questions.
