All of my Skyrim mods are being ported over to SE, including this, be patient This is a super tiny tiny mesh, there are no performance issues or concerns or anything with using it in SE as-is if you do not feel like waiting.
Hi fadingsignal, your textures and meshes are just gorgeous, but the candle felt outdated, since I been using Rudy's candle and various other candle replacer. So I edited, the mesh and deleted the base candle and added a candle from other mods that added better candles.
I have two questions to ask, the candle flames are still in the position of the old candles postition. Is there a candle flame mesh that I need to add to the candles?
My second question is if I want to release my small patch as a mod that adds new candles on to the notice board of your mesh. Could I get your permission to upload my small patch mod?
Use NIFSkope and look for something called an "AddOnNode" that will be the candle flame. Move the position around using the transform option in Nifskope.
Yes, a patch is totally fine as long as it requires this original mod
Thank you, that was fast reply. I will look at the addonnode now.
Also, so I am making patch for the SSE port version of this mod. So my patch will require that version of this mod, would me providing a link back to this page be sufficient while the mod requires the port? Or would you like me to port the mod myself with my patch included as one mod and link the mod page back to here?
I ask because the file structure is different than Notice Board. I came from the SSE port, but I loaded this and then I loaded NB LE to see if the LE version of Notice board had a different file structure, it does not. There are only 3 conflicts with NB LE/SE and they are all with the meshes.
NB has textures/manny/up/ 4 files named manny_up_xxx 2 pings 2 dds.
NB Redefined SSE and LE both have the file structure textures/fadingsignal/TheNoticeBard/
inside are several .dds files all with different nomenclature.
Usually, when a different file structure or nomenclature is used, an esp is added to point to the new files. Since I see no esp I wonder if one was just never uploaded. Well, I know your busy Fadingsignal and this mod gets little activity, but I wonder if you could look into this. Thank you.
Thank you for this mod, I love this re texture. Any plans to do something similar for the Missives mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85815?tab=description
You can do this yourself by renaming the mesh to whatever the filename of the mesh is in Missives and installing that (with the textures) over the top. I've found that it sits pretty well with Missive placements in cities, actually better if using city overhauls as it's smaller and less likely to clip.

I hope this helps.
