This is a map of Skyrim showing settlements added by mods, useful for players and modders. In addition to the map, you can download the text layer and the unlabeled map layer. I've split these up to make the map as easy to modify as possible. Please feel free to add to it!

If I haven't added a settlement, it is probably because the modder did not include a screenshot of the settlement's location: this is the only reason popular settlements like Ebonvale and Syerscote aren't included. If you use a settlement mod I haven't included, please share an in-game map screenshot of the settlement's location and I will add it.

A few mods seemed low-quality or potentially game-breaking, so I left them out. I've tried to make the map simple to expand should anyone wish to add these or other settlements.

Locations are approximate - it can be difficult to transfer points from Skyrim's frankly awful 3D map to the official paper map.

When there is a discrepancy (for instance, the village added by the mod Helsmyrr Village is simply called Helsmyrr) I have used the mod name instead of the in-game village name for clarity.

Some Thoughts:
Skyrim has nine cities and seven villages for a total of sixteen settlements. This map currently shows 86(!) settlements - over five times as many as the vanilla game - and more could still be added. The most densely settled areas of the game are the southern shore of Lake Illinata and the area between Morthal and Rorikstead. Regarding the former area, if you're a modder and want to build around Lake Illinata, try the mostly empty north shore. The popularity of the latter area surprises me; I would have expected the tundra surrounding Whiterun to be more popular.

Modders: If you make a settlement mod, please post a clear screenshot of the location on the in-game map.

Players: If you play with lots of these settlements, feel free to post user screenshots showing how they interact, especially in the densely settled areas. A map can only do so much to convey how the settlements change the province.
