To anyone wondering in 2024. this mod works perfectly in SE/AE. Run it through CAO after installing it with MO2, and so far i have not had any problems with it.
I'm glad you like this mod, it been a very long time since I worked on it but I just starting to get back into Skyrim. Check back later if you switch to SSE, I am trying to convert this mod.
I been looking for a bigger portable home even though the haven bag seems the best so far. i got the note but it the gaurd didn't respond unitl i saved then restarted the game. After talking to him the quests didn't update so I loaded the Tomb from the councel. The spell worked and I entered the home which is real nice but the problem is I can't get out of the house. I cast the spell again but it just teleports me back in the house. Maybe I'm missing something on that part. Thats my story.
It had been a long time since I worked on this mod but I will try to address your problems. Your problem with not being able to leaving your home, is that the teleport spell only brings you to the house not out of it. They're levers on the wall in the dining room that will teleport you back to THE LAST PLACE YOU CAST TELEPORT SPELL so if you recast the spell in the house then you well get send to the house. This isn't a problem because in the armory there are a bunch of levers on the wall that will teleport you to all the holds as mark on the shields. The problem you have with loading the quest might be with your save file. Try going into a small room like your home in Whiterun and saving a brand new save, then load it. That should fix the problem, if it still does not try talking to other npcs in the game. If that still doesn't solve you problem try starting a new game make sure the problem not with the mod or your saved game.
I had a little trouble with the beginning stage of this. I was able to find the letter in Dragonsreach and the first person I talked to had the dialogue option, which worked fine, but I wasn't exactly sure what to look for right away. I eventually had to go to Windhelm and steal the spell tome, but otherwise, everything is working great! This is a pretty decently large home that had space for the 5 followers I brought with me + the house staff to occupy with no collisions at every corner... in face, almost none at all! The decor is true to lore, and just a little chaotic, which is fine, because it looks like people actually live there and store things on the furniture. The Skyforge and staff enchanter are nice touches, along with all the other amenities, and thank goodness some of the decorations in the high-traffic areas are nailed down, so they don't go flying everywhere when followers decide to do what followers do, but there's still a lot of room to decorate and plenty of items to move around or replace yourself if you want to add your personal style. Even though this house has a relatively large number of rooms, it's laid out so that it's hard to get lost, even for perpetually-lost me. Oh yeah, and teleporters! It has teleporters! I really like the addition of the bard, too. I know I'm a few years late starting the game and even later at adding mods, but I'm still enjoying it all, and this house makes it even more enjoyable =). Happily endorsed!
Thank you Synicizm, It been a very long time since I mod. I forget most of how to program but I'm glad you enjoy this mod. I am looking into converting this mod to SSE but will need to figure it out how to first. As to the problem you had with not being able to get the mission to load that usually come down to a problem with your save file. Usually if you go into a small room like your house in whiterun and make a completely new save then reload the save that usually fix the problem. If not then I would try starting a new game to see if the problem is indeed the save or the mod itself.
I thought I should update you guys on the mod, I stopped modding this since fallout 4 came out. I kinda thought everyone would play fallout instade of skyrim. If I get alot of comment asking me to work on this I will, but I don't see the point if no one's going to be playing it.
did the quest pop up? try talking to the guards and see if the dialog pops up. If not then I place the spelltomb in the temple of talos in windhelm in case this happens. Also try making a new save, that might fix it. Also if nothing works then try making making a new character to see if the bug still there.

It add a Spell tomb not a spell, So you need to read the spell book in order to have the spell. so maybe it's not a bug but you didnt read the spelltomb first XD
