Is this a savegame? What does one do with it? It looks intriguing. I'd like to try it even though I've always avoided supporting a faction that has tried to remove my head.
No Civil War faction involved, just a "role-play" option. A pretend character that "secretly" works for the Emperor...the justification for destroying the Dark Brotherhood. So secret no one in Skyrim will actually acknowledge you are a Penitus Oculatus agent. You are in Commander's Maro friend faction though. Yes it is a saved game that gives you a head start and some enchanted items and a boost in skills to start the game with.
I received the quest and completed it through normal game play. I did not receive the family heirloom. All the kid would say is "I am going to grow up to be an assassin, just like you!" if I tried to initiate conversation with him. Then he just walks away. No clue what happened on that. Sorry.
