This mod requires the textures from Apachii and EOB standalone.
    (Not the .esps)

I noticed this too. His hair is pink (textureless) yet I installed the mod correctly.
Wish the description would be updated saying that Apachii textures are required. Not a big deal since I can just force recruit him and put a helmet on him or kill him quickly, but still.

Bless you for listing these, I hate digging through eye mods to find textures!

(EOB=Eyes of Beauty for anyone unaware)

There are no spacial hair textures in this mod. Here's the possibilities I can think of:
1: You have a mod that conflicts with vanilla hair meshes or textures (I know of none) and vanilla eyes (lot's of eyes)
2: You have a high-res replacer for eyes and hair, and your game simply doesn't have the memory to handle him, in which case a quit and reload would work. It's been a few months so chances are you have done this since. Maybe it worked?
3: The face gen files weren't installed correctly.

I'm having this problem as well. The first 2 are definitely not the cause for me.

The problem is that the required textures are not included, yes.

It's not a conflict, it's literally missing assets and/or the author's assumption that everyone already uses the required mods. They are not listed in the requirements, tools used, nor credits, so it's a "fun" guessing game to find what random eye pack is needed when we reinstall this.

"His ebony helmet does not hide the flowing reddish blonde hair and beard which appear almost as shimmering gold, nor does it shield the
steel blue eyes that seem to pierce all they fall upon."

Oh & how awesome it would be, if you make a custom helmet for this fella.lol.
And wow, I didn't expect for the comments to be so toxic, an interesting surprise.

Wow this character looks way too Nordish for my taste. Not to be a party pooper or anything like that but believe it or not people of color or darker complexion can inherit natural blue eyes, or reddish hair just to let you know. I happened to know a cute little brown girl a few years back with natural sky blue eyes it's more than feasible. Your version of Ebonarm comes off looking so pasty white it just makes his name seem rather ironic rather than a proper title for a legendary warrior. Not that I'm saying it completely is, but to a certain degree the mod comes off as unintentional trolling. Kind of like the movie "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise a white guy. It just comes off like "Wow Hollywood you're really gonna go this direction?"

And just looking back at both religion and mythology stories, when a god or demi-god usually visits a certain region, they commonly take the shape or form of the people or wild animals of that region to better blend in and not get noticed so easily. That's why I was thinking Ebonarm would come off with a more Redguardish type appearance of darker complexion with a slightly more exotic look than the average Redguard but not so much as he could be easily picked out of a large crowd of Redguards. So I find it rather difficult to believe that cities and country sides filled with Redguards would just completely ignore a giant a pale man with blonde hair and a giant sword traveling through their region. Take the image of Jesus Christ for example. A guy who was born in a middle eastern desert region is always portrayed as a guy with a complexion who looks like he has never seen a drop of daylight in his life. Strikes you as rather odd when you think about it from that perspective don't ya think?

I mean it's your mod everything and at the end of the day you can do what you want with it. I'm just throwing my two cents out there....

Ebonarm is a war god said to have flowing blonde hair, ebony armor, and a sword of ebony for an arm. He is also Reman Cyrodiil who was a imperial dragonborn. The only reason he appears as a redguard in the game is because he is an aspect of a god that only redguards worship.

My understanding is that he's taken the form of a Reguard who wants to go where the Nords go when they die. Nothing he says indicates that he needs to be in his God form. But that's the beauty of mods. Someone can turn him into a creepy looking little girl like that one mod with Ulfric. They can white wash him like this mod, or they can turn him into a dragon. We can do anything we want. We can even just not download mods. Down here it's our time. It's our time down here.

completely agree at the end of the day Ebonarm is Redguard not nord i also dont understand why people think only white skinned people have different colored eyes or hair. it was a cool idea until it was white washed like the majority of anything. redguard god, redguard religion but made a nord...hmm ok. no download from me either.

Ebonarm is, literally, Reman Cyrodil. Who was an Imperial. The Redguards took a liking to him and deified him. His skin color didn't seem to matter that much to them. Meaning they were, apparently, better people than most in the comments.

While I like the concept of this mod, I'm not so sold on the lore. Part of the reason why I stopped referencing the UESP Wiki for anything outside of basic information is because I'm beginning to see more and more references to (and from) the Elder Scrolls Online being presented as canon and thus can't really take anything it presents seriously (anymore). [For as much as you can rely on any Wiki for factual information that is.]

That aside, while I won't be downloading this mod, I do appreciate the time you put into making it, as I am a big fan of the Redguards.

I agree on the whole ESO thing...but to be honest I am almost(*) sold on the idea he is an ASPECT of ebonarm. Maybe he is a man who nearly mantled ebonarm?

Do you still plan to redo this mod and to make use of the bladed gauntlet mod to make it even better?

Mods like these should do the trick if author decided to do it.

Heya Plaque! Chiming in now for a question. Was wondering if you had any plans to port Ebonarm Restored over to the SSE Nexus? I greatly enjoyed the fight in Oldrim against him and would love to be able to do so once again in the new 64-bit game.

In any case, also wanted to say thank you for sharing this wonderful addition with the rest of us. I know I greatly appreciate what you did with the character. Feels much more alive and personal this way instead of the simple ebony armored NPC you fight at level 80.

    Cheers,
    Absent

dunno if this is still worked on, but that mod ^ has a great "sword fused to arm" thing. it has regular ebony gauntlets but with a single long sword blade, or "claw" on it. sorta Wolverine-ish but just 1 blade. it has the blade on both left n right gauntlets but i bet the left blade could easily be remove from the mesh in nikskope.

i'd try to give big guy these gauntlets but not sure how to add the claw gauntlets from that mod to his outfit in tes5edit. anyone know how

Thanks for the info on that mod - Very interesting and entirely appropriate! When I can get to redoing this mod I'll definitely look to provide a version that works with it. Thanks!

Ya, this would be perfect for making him even more like Ebonarm!
Which is a perfect idea since one of the mods I am working on (slowly) is going to include Ebonarm
