I've done the Barenziah quest, and it is certainly worthwhile: the difference it makes to finding gems in containers is huge. As for the Crimson Nirnroot quest, it is tedious. I used the console, and yes, you have to enter b701a one at a time for them to count. This mod is, therefore, useful for that reason. It is also useful for alchemists because Crimson Nirnroot and Jarrin root make a poison that kills dragons, giants, mammoths, and deathlords in one hit depending on your level.
There is only one Jarrin root in the game, but you can get more through the console: 1bcbc.
@IronicEcho Just entering player.additem b701a 30 doesn't work... You end up with the 30 crimson nirnroots, in a clump, and only one of them counts to the quest. Thay have to be entered ONE AT A TIME through the console. (I know, I tried it on my second playthrough, was a big mess) Thank you for this bat, I wish I had thought of it, would have saved a lot of grief. I don''t know for sure, but the Stones of Barenziah may be the same way, didn't try console on that one. On the first playthrough, try to find everything.
Thanks for the help guys but in the end I didn't need to go back. I used the bat file and ended up with 44/30 lol and had to look up the quest to finish it so big thanks for that bat. Now if only there was one for them dam gems you have to find cause im bored of trying to find them lol.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the elevators are 'open' for a while only and they reset after a while. I've not been able to use the elevators to go back to Blackreach, but it was after a while and a while ago when I last tryed.
You can get back to Blackreach by going through the Dwemer ruins again (cant remember the location though) or open your console and type the following:

Thanks !
Thanks for answering on my stead
I'm not sure on the Barenziahs, I've not done that quest my self to see/ try.
But if it's lootable... there should be item ID for it too, so would only assume it'd be same as for Nirnroots

if you got out from those elevators where's the gate switch inside, I think they should stay open for reentering.
