About this mod

Adds Unique Smithing perk and Unique keyword

Permissions and credits
Hey all! Are you like me, going through your mods and adding interesting little requirements so that you can de-clutter your forge?
Tired of putting things in the Skyforge JUST so that you can never look at that disaster again?
This helps fix that.

1.WHAT THIS DOES

-It adds a new perk to the Smithing perk tree called "Unique Smithing"
-Edits an unused hardcoded keyword to add the editorID "ArmorMaterialUnique"
-Items associated with this mod will be listed under the new "Unique" category in the forge.
KEEP IN MIND, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PERK (which, until you open the CK and associate one or somebody makes an armour that they want associated) THAT THE "Unique" CATEGORY WON'T APPEAR IN FORGE.

2.WHAT THIS DOES NOT DO

-It does NOT associate any of your unique armours or weapons with this perk by itself. To do that, you'll need the Creation Kit or an applicable patch by the author of your favourite custom items.
Yes, I could do this myself for requests (on my time schedule, ofc), but ONLY if the author's permissions explicitly states that I can edit it.
No, I will not go about getting permission from other authors. If you want it, you can get their permission for a patch.

3.TO THE MODDERS
-The crafting keyword (editorID) to associate a weapon or armor with this perk is "ArmorMaterialUnique"
-The name of the perk to associate for crafting recipe dependencies is "UniqueSmithing"

4.Requirements/Installation
Requires the latest version of Skyrim. DLC not required. Compatible with all official DLC.

Manual Installation: place the "UniqueSmithingPerk.esp" file into your Skyrim/data folder. Activate in your load order.

Load order: Place ABOVE your NPC and armour mods, but make sure it's BELOW any official DLC and their unofficial patches (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn).

Optional files: The optional 3-tier file is a different version of the main file for those who prefer a slightly more balanced gameplay (I mean, it's only going to be as balanced as the equipment you install, ofc).
The "levels" file basically only applies to me... lol, I add player level as a requirement to many custom equipment I use, and for those of you who do the same the description is slightly edited. Otherwise, it's the exact same functionally and perk-wise as the 3-tier file.

If you're having trouble with your mods in general, check out this thread! http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/753253-only-you-can-prevent-forest-fires/

5.Incompatibilities
-Anything that edits the Smithing perk tree (the tree itself. Mods that modify the smithing perks are fine); however, if you're fine without the perks, I would imagine that if it were loaded above whichever file modifies the Smithing perk tree it would probably still work (albeit, without the perk, which would mean that the equipment wouldn't be able to be dependent on those). A patch could probably be made quite easily, but again, only with permission from the author. And no, I'm not going about getting permissions if it isn't already explicitly stated on their page.
-It will also be COMPLETELY incompatible with any mod that edits the same unused hardcoded keyword (sGenericCraftKeywordName08). As far as I am aware (Sept.2015), there are none. Which is good, because that means maximum compatibility! :D

Notes about SkyUI users:
-SkyUI users will not see the Unique category in the forge because SkyUI removes the forge categories. Recipes will still appear, just not categorized.
I highly recommend SkyUI-Away ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29440/? ) for those of you who dislike SkyUI's forge menus. Or any SkyUI menus.
-Alternatively, if you enjoy SkyUI's forge menus, then you could STILL clean up your forge list by simply not investing perks into the default vanilla perks. If you're only going to be using custom armour, why put a perk point and have all that Daedric and Dragon armour cluttering your forge? Simply unlock the custom stuff with the perk, and stop there. :)  (If this is your plan, I recommend the optional Tiered version for balance reasons)
