Hi all, just uploaded a small remodel of my favorite starter home V1.9! The columns you run into when you enter bothered me for awhile, so I decided it was time to remodel. It opens up the space allot (see screenshots) but I believe it still is a very cozy one room home. Other changes inside I swapped one of the dressers for a two shelf open book case, added some floor pelts, changed the bed which I think fits better with the style of the room and is more open, the bed with the boards around it just did not work for me anymore and I like this much better; added a small side table and candle with light source by bed. Added ownership for player faction to the bed, changed ownership on single bed to none. Added a drape over the bed, its mostly decorative but it makes it feel less exposed I think and I like the look. Moved a few items around.
Outside I changed the windows to a warm yellow glass to reflect the warm interior; (these are new meshes by Refurbmadness and a tad warmer than the yellow windows previously available in 1.8GS) added an Ingot pile by the forge and rearranged the mushrooms a bit, swapped the fish barrel for one to hold ore, no re-spawn. A special note about the two shelf bookcase, I used a cupboard model so if you step up close you can also access the cupboard hidden drawer for storage, step back a step and you can activate the book shelves. And those are all the changes, I hope you enjoy them, and if not there always is V1.8 A GS version will follow shortly.
Uploaded a small update 1.9.1 with some minor changes I overlooked in 1.9, see the change log on main page for details; and the new General Stores version is up now as well. The main file will be uploaded to SSE tonight as well.
2.3 is up with some major changes and updates, see description page for details!
I have just discovered this awesome mod ... All is beautiful , interior , exterior , objects , decoration , lighting , plants and many charming details . I am in love with this pretty house , not too big , not too small . Thank you ! maybe it's a bit too late , but i add screenshots .

can I not use this as a Family home for follower or house Carl? I try using "Bless home" from my home is your home but it doesn't seem to accept the home.
The home is not set up for adopting Children but I am working on a version to do that. I have used this cabin as a follower home many times, and I am also using my home is your home, but version 3.1. It is likely older and does not use the spell bless home, it just uses dialogue to assign a home. Works flawless for me, maybe a later version using spells is not as compatible?
This mod has got to be one of my favorites! Everything from the baskets/storage you get to put things into > To the decore. An let's not just say lord of the rings/hobbit are my favorite to help this out of all things. But, No matter how old this mod gets or is. I love it & continue to always use it with my characters. Thank you for that nice comment, I really appreciate it and to be honest it is my personal favorite :) I may release my personal version in future with a few added features and I am also thinking of making it adoption friendly I just have not found the time to dig into that process. Anyway glad it brings you joy
Very nice. The interior is not as "Hobbit-y" as I'd like, but I understand that's not what you were going for. Also, like your inn and bath mod, there's no music inside. I really love the location though, and how well it's implemented. I also like how it's problem-free. I was going to try Reko Hobbit Hole, but I read it has problems and it has me worried. I'd love to have that one too though. Anyways, I'll endorse this. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the nice comments and I am happy you like it. There are indeed other nice hobbit style homes out there, but I tried to keep it simple with as few custom elements as possible. Its called a hobbit home and most people know what to expect from that, but yes its basically an earth dwelling not unfamiliar to many Northern cultures. It is my personal preference not to have music in the home and I find it very calming since there is constantly music in every other situation, but I will consider a version with interior music. Thank you for your endorsement.
I downloaded this when you first released it and can't believe the wonderful changes you have made. The home looks amazing. You addressed my one beef...those support columns. The whole place just opened up, and all the other tweaks here and there since then make it so lovely. Thanks for keeping up with this.

I don't know if others are experiencing this, but the navmesh is a bit messed up in the hallway to the bathing area. My follower gets stuck and walks in circles. I can fix it in the ck, but others may not be able to. Great house mod.
I have tested this mod with a follower and had no such issue; I will check again but it may be your follower or the follower mod you are using? The hall navmesh is pretty straight forward and very short. Is your follower perhaps extra tall? Could be getting stuck on the low ceiling.
I'll drag some different followers through the place. You are right about the navmesh. I checked it in the ck and couldn't find an issue. I should have done that first before complaining. Apologies.
Hey actually I need to apologize, I just had that problem with a follower, not sure why I did not notice it before. I am fairly certain that it is not navmesh but I am working on a solution right now. I will post when figured it out. Thank you for bringing it to my attention
Hi again, so we were both wrong, it turned out to be a weird navmesh problem after all. Two vertices were defective in the hall and prevented followers from navigating. Its fixed and tested now and hopefully that will be the last bug to squish. Thank you again for reporting and I am sorry if I came off a bit defensive in the beginning. Hope you can enjoy the cabin fully now

Hello there and thank you so for the addition to the wee cabin. It is lovely and by far my favourite location and home. I only have one issue to report to you concerning the addition, and that is the walls on either side of the room lead you out into the blue void of nothingness. My character fell out the wall when settling the new follower in. Otherwise, it is still very much deserving of praise and endorsement if only I could do that again. Cheers!

Thanks for letting me know about that problem you found, I did not experience that but I will look into it to make sure. Also one thing I need to mention on the main page is that if you enter the tub in third person the camera view will swerve out into the void at certain angles, that I am afraid can't be helped because of how the camera works in a confined space.
I just confirmed that one of the pieces I used in the bathroom has no collision; it is a CK issue and I forgot that particular piece has that problem, my apologies. I am fixing that right now!
