* Improved the skeleton to easier go over rocks in rapids and over ice in the sea of ghosts, essentially the best from 2.0(good handling) and 2.1(no invisible box onboard) skeletons
* If you lose an item you can now get a new set by summon a new boat. When you unsummon the boat you will get all the items in the boats in your inventory, except items from this mod(don't want 200 oars, do we).
* Increased the life of the boat and removed the value of the extra items as you now can get as many you want
Note: If you update you can get the anchor by summoning a new boat. This system for distributing new items and spells will be used until the boats features are done. Note: The anchor is not meant to stop fleeing. If the boat can't move the game may teleport it instead.
Tip: For not fleeing in combat If you don't want the boat to flee in combat you can use "Convenient horses" and set the horses to be friendly to all fractions and foolhardy. This works with all versions of my mod.
I had loaded this, and the sailboat extended. It didn't work, I re-loaded. I got a notice stating that it was meant for ObIivion and that it needed an (enb...?) it disappeared so I can't confirm what exactly is needed. Anyway, it is incompatible.

It's an easy mod to port on your own. You only need to run the loose files through Cathedral Asset Optimizer, and then resave the plugin in the Creation Kit (you don't actually have to try to use it). GamerPoets on YouTube has guides, as do many others. Takes 5 minutes.
As mentioned, and if you look in this discussion some years ago, I had brief post exchange with original author. The canoe used to moo like a cow and follow you around if you had the wrong horse mod installed. If not obvious already the mod author abandoned this unfinished long ago, and believe nexus honors the attempt to contact authors for abandoned mods. I'm an old dog, switching to SSE and MO2 only happened when my LE install finally failed, LOL. I've tried the SSE boat mods, they are perhaps more convenient but just do not have the same feel.
I’ll check it out today to see if I can port this. It’s a BSA so I’m sure it can be ported. Also depending what is inside the BSA maybe some textures need to be optimized for this mod. Everyone is really clambering over it so you peeked my interest.
I ported the 1.0 Version for myself, this works fine so far! Just need to load it in the new ck2 and duplicate something in the file, save and then delete the duplicated again (you can also leave it there, doesn't hurt eather) then save again, to make it a "Form 44" for SSE, done!

I know millions of people still play Skyrim every month, but does anyone even still play L.E.? There should really be an S.E. Version! only thing i found of a SSE equivilant sofar has been L.V.X Magick's - Boats? but it's not very great for VR cause your boat vanishes in 1st person view (honestly this is a jankey method of doing a boat it basically just overlays a static image ontop of you with waterwalking)
the Gokstad Sailable Ship works on all versions of skyrim but you need PapyrusUtil for Oldrim or PapyrusUtil SE for SSE/VR personally this is the better choice for VR cause the boat is actually an object with physics, tho it does take a lot of resources to actually operate, it was still a little choppy when driving even though it was the only mod i had enabled and iv got a ryzen 5 3600 with an rtx 2070 and 32GB's of ram lol

Version 2.3 doesn't work: boat doesn't move at all.
