Hi and thanks for the comments. Feedback is really appreciated.
Please let me know if english texts sound strange to you. I am no native speaker and I will gladly listen to your suggestions
Furthermore I am very interested to learn which of the Hypothermia Plus settings you change or if you do not change settings at all.

    2017-12-02
Hypothermia Plus 1.171 is up. It requires two DLCs, Dawnguard and Dragonborn. If that turns out to be a problem, I will revert to offering a mod version for vanilla plus DLC option.

Version 1.171 provides a couple of small fixes and, most notably, no notifications at startup any more; you can activate a "debug mode" via the information tab of the MCM menu to get back these and other debug notifications.

The upcoming version 1.18 of Hypothermia Plus will see two new mechanics. First: exhaustion. Exhaustion will lower the ability of your char's metabolism to produce heat. Chances are that standing around in the cold forever wont be possible any more. Second: variable metabolic rate. When it is cold, your char will need more calories to maintain body heat. Both will be configurable and the latter deactivatable via MCM.

Hypothermia Plus 1.17 is up. Just deinstall old version and install version 1.17. Should work out of the box and without the need to start a new game. Optional files of all sorts can be found under Data/Hypothermia Plus. These include an alternative RHSP_Widget.esp that makes HypoPlus aware of DLC armors etc. and a Hypothermia Plus 1.17 MCM guide.

    2017-07-25
Hypothermia Plus Version 1.17 will be released on Saturday, 29th July. Includes the 'More Tents Addon', a fix for the frost resist bug, a MCM slider for widget opacity, a MCM option to disable ambient temp notifications, a much better auto-load option for default settings (from other mod authors to change hypothermia's settings), and some more code optimizations.

    2017-07-12
Uploaded another addon under optional files. It's beta, please test. This one makes HypoPlus aware of (any) tents made with Chesko's Campfire SDK, e.g. Tentapalooza. Includes the tents from Campsite by Kinaga. Detection for Campfire tents is handled by Chesko's API (Kudos to him): Some tents will need to be "used" (e.g. by sitting in the tent) in order to be recognized. Others will be recognized as soon as your char enters the tent. For the time being, waterproof tents will be recognized as large leather tents, and tents that are not waterproof, will be detected as large fur tents.

Uploaded new version of addon that makes HypoPlus aware of Campsite by Kinaga. Fixed the small leather/cloth tent not being recognized correctly. Removed debug notifications about tents being recognized (this can still be checked with MCM menu information). Thanks to lukamaksic for testing and feedback!

Uploaded a small addon to make HypoPlus aware of Campsite by Kinaga (tents and fires); please look under "optional files". Install as usual overwriting anything. You can continue with your playthrough. Note: due to time constraints this is not "playtested" by me as usual, regard this as a beta release: you can always revert to the "old" version 1.16)

A hotfix has been uploaded that fixes the following glitch when changing temperature offsets for interiors (e.g. dwemer ruins) in the 'Expert settings' of the MCM menu:
The changed offset is directly applied by the game even when the player is in an interior location of a different type (e.g. player changes offset for nordic ruins while fighting through a dwemer ruin). Though this gets corrected on the next location change, it's obviously not as it should be.
Please download and install the hotfix. You can continue your play-through afterwards. The main file has been updated to 1.16.1; it contains the fix.

    Version 1.16 is up.

Hello Granson, I was wondering if this mod can support a winter overhaul for skyrim wher everything is snowy. Think it is possible just by tweaking the MCM a little? If there was an option in the MCM to set a base temperature for all of skyrim and the latitude and altiude calculations are done on top of that to get the temp at any given point in skyrim it would be easily possible to adjust several values and make it support a winter overhaul for skyrim. Thoughts? I havent looked at the code yet so I am uncertain of the exact mechanics of the mod. If it turns out that I can make a winter overhaul compatible version of your update for this mod just by adjusting values in the code or by adding another MCM option, just let me know and I'll make my own version of your update so you dont have to be bothered with tweaking, updating and uploading it. Thank you btw, excellent mod, I like it better than Frostfall at this point, Frostfall is getting WAY too heavy Chesko is really going overboard in my opinion.

Great mod, very stable, no freezes and very immersive.

The only thing i would nitpick about is that a cloak is almost essential, without one i got light hypothermia just from walking from the Khajiit camp to the Riften Gate.

Don't know if it's because i'm in one of the coldest months of the year (Frostfall) but right now i'm trying to prevent that from happening again by finding a base body heat setting that doesn't feel like i'm cheating.

How lightweight is Hypothermia compared to Frostfall?

Because i use Frostfall in combination with Last Seed right now and i'm experiencing random freezes, it might be time for a change.

    Looking for opinions, atm.

Never used survival or needs type mods in my gameplay. Often, too extensive, retrictive, limiting.

    This seems lightweight, in comparison.

But, it requires a mod I don't have. Discovered a patch for that one, plus one I use (Cheskos' Campfire). That makes 3 downloads, rather than 1 simple one.
Mods that rely on other mods to function, we all know the load order grows!

So, uncertain whether to try this out, because I wasn't counting on so many others.

Wondered what others thinkk, and how well it works for them.

The original mod doesn't work all the great without this mod, which is a great upgrade for it. Read the description to see if you really need other environ mods installed while using this one.

Thanks so much for your answer. It helped.

Think I got a bit sidetracked after reading this one, looking at similar mods, before coming back to this. So a ton of trivial info in the head!
      Good to go. Thanks.

Hi, I have a question: Why the "PapyrusUtil " is required by this mod? Can be used normally without it?

Hey Granson, in case you 're still around... One request...

The author of Real Shelter, in his page, says:
"alas, I have retired from modding. Apparently TES5Edit and MO has changed dramatically since I left.
If you wish to use real shelter without it, use the old 1.2 version."
    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52612?tab=posts

I am trying to use v.1.2 of Real Shelter (i also don't understand the whole tesedit thing, so 1.2 is more straightforward because you just install it in MO and it works). Real Shelter 1.2 works and is recognized by Hypothermia, BUT, saturation doesn't stop and Hypothermia says you are not sheltered. Any chance you could make a patch to work with v.1.2 of Real Shelter?

Thanks and i wish you well.

Recently, I noticed my character freezing near Raven Rock while ash was falling. I'm using an un-modded Solstheim these days as far as weather goes.

Alright so i have a little problem which i hope someone can help me solve. No matter what i do i just can't get the widget to appear on the screen. When i start a new game, it briefly appears on the upper left corner of the screen then dissapears after 2 or 3 seconds. I have RHSP_Widget.esp in my load order and it is ticked. I have the file in my Data folder too so I don't get what the problem is.

If you are in a room near a heat source, a widget will show. Two will show if you are warming up or drying next to a heat source. Then goes back to one widget once your are warmed/dried.
If the widget doesn't show, make sure you have room on your screen for it if you have too many other SKYUI mods.

Does anyone know if this works with the Creation Club's Camping mod?
