A few months ago I decided to make another version of College's NPC. First, I wanted to upload it as a new mod, but it looks better as an optional file in the current modification, I guess. Feel free to check it. New images were uploaded in gallery (page 2), also you can see new improvements under new file. DO NOT FORGET TO UNINSTALL OLD VERSION!!! The new one uses new esp file, so remove all of your college dudes with old esp ( I think none is a bug-fan).
You can change the robes in Xedit to make it compatible or use a smashed or bashed patch to make them compatible. Both mods will work together with a patch.
Thought I'd mention LOOT keeps wanting to put this BEFORE Immersive College of Winterhold which overrwrites all your beautiful NPCs. I dunno if there's a way to reach out to LOOT or submit a ticket or whatever to make sure it puts it after, otherwise you have to manually change it everytime you update the list.
There are reasons for that. Immersive CoW changes the characters routines and clothing which would be a good reason why LOOT is trying to trump that mod over this one. There is a patch here in this thread by teabag86(IIRC); find the post, follow its instructions and you should be right as rain. Alternatively you can strip out the meshes and textures for the affected characters from 'immersive CoW' and supplant them with the meshes and textures from this one.
Hey thanks for reaching out, makes sense. I did end up getting a patch that seems to have fixed it though tbh I don't even remember where. But I do have a CWIELnFXPatch.esp patch that seems to have sorted it...
BUT I have the same issue with the Everybody's Different mod, which randomly generates a different look for all NPCs in the game. As long as I put this one after it in the load order it works just fine so I've just locked it closer to the bottom of the LO. Fortunately it still works great because these NPCs are far superior to any others out there, still kind of annoying but worth it
All NPC overhauls usually need a patch for some other mod. whether it is AI overhaul, ICOW, or USLEEP/USSEP. Despite what LOOT says, I always put my patched NPC overhauls right to the bottom of my load list. Just above the Smashed or Bashed patch if you use them.
All npc are vanilla.. and even some like savos and ancano have missing texures (patches of hair, skin desync). I tried reinstallin either of the two versions, but none seems to make a change
Managed to figure out something, ASIS.esp (the skyproc patch) reverts all college's npcs to vanilla for some reason. Deactivating it fixes it but that means I dont get to use the Skyproc fix (npcs can take advantage of enchantments). Any idea why this happens?
if you have the Immersive college of winterhold, or probably any other college mod, they have vanilla facegen. So this mod needs to overwrite those ones and in most cases, it would also need an appropriate patch. Many mods have vanilla facegen because they make changes to NPC equipment or packages. NPC overhauls make changes to the same records and need a patch to get both changes in game.
Hi everyone, can someone shed some light on me because I am a bit curious if it is possible to use some replacers of both v1 and v2, if 'tis, how? Can I use only the last esp.(don't know what it does and google was not that helpful) or do I need to do smth using CK or by TesEdit?

And if you don't wan't / can do it, what about let someone port it ?
Simply re-save the .esp in the Creation Kit, and run the folder through Cathedral Assets Optimizer.
This is what Ancano looks like in my SSE setup.
