Technically though, a Cavalry sabre should have a curved blade.The idea being that a sword stroke from horseback would flow more easily while charging past a victim. Katanas have curved blades for the same reason.

Well,some Information I get seen that most curved blade was made for light cavarly , and straight blades was equip by heavy cavalry like Cuirassier to anti enemy's heavy cavalry armor
