Hey, you didn't mention it, so I thought I'm gonna ask for it: Did you also make the house owned by the player and non-respawning? So that all my gear is save in there, even if I don't return soon. :D
A curiosity question. Would it even be possible to make a version of this mod that does away with the associated quest without causing the game to go toes-up? I haven't played that quest since my first play-through and I spend my time in Markarth avoiding the path in front of the house so I won't be pestered by that damnable Vigilant.
I ... have no idea, honestly! I mean, it's a super easy/quick quest. You could always do it and then use "player.removeitem" to take the mace out of your inventory when you are done if you really don't want it?
Thank you for doing this! I love "redecorating" houses like this, and like the last comment said, you did all the hard work. I use Jaxonz Positioner and the now defunct IWant mods to make amazing changes. Can't wait to get into this one. Thanks again for this. I'm very impressed that you also took out the lighting! That is awesome. I like to do my own lighting with the mods I just mentioned, and no one has ever removed lighting like this. Great job! Will endorse as soon as I download.
You are so very welcome! I would love to see pictures of your finished house
Taking out the lighting was very important to me - I also decorate with the console & positioner mods ( takes me back to Morrowind! ) and I hate it when lights conflict and everything starts flickering.
I just saw this mod, thus I cannot yet Endorse it, however, I love it already. I am always claiming houses in Skyrim, using the ~ to claim ownership and edit the homes I like. I mean, why spend the 8,000 to 25,000 in the early part of the game, when you can build your own house according to your own standards? You make doing that easy, as you have done all the hard work (cleaning the place up) and allowing the player to move in and set up shop as they see fit. Im not sure if its your thing, but it would be awesome if you were to make a series of mods where you did the same with other unused homes. I have redone the entry way of Dragons Reach a few times, lol, and even moved in with a few NPCs that had the room.
Thank you for your kind words! I honestly do the same thing you do with console. & I agree with the septims - especially in houses like this that the game just hands you! I will probably get around to doing Lund's place as well as Drelas'. You know, I've even killed Anise & used her house a few times! I would be happy to do a little series, if there's interest
