:: Grimoa's Scarf and Gugel mod addon by Elianora ::

This mod replaces all the mantle (gugel) textures with improved, 1k textures (taken from the official HD DLC) and alters the original mod's recipes and gugel names.
These will work on both the "normal" ones and the XL gugels.

1. All gugels have been renamed to "Something Mantle".

2. All (but plain) mantle recipes now need a third ingredient representing the colour of the mantle.

3. Adds 3 new variations of mantles: Red, linen brown and linen black

Refer to the original mod's readme for instructions on how to obtain the mantles.

There is clipping with the male version and that's not my doing, it's the original mod, not something I can fix.

IMPORTANT!!!!

These textures MAY make your mantles "glossy". I was unable to fix that in the textures themselves until FadingSignal was awesome enough to point out I was missing an alpha channel. ANYWAY, should problem persist, you need to do some trickery. I cannot reach Grimoa to ask for a permission to upload the edited non-specular meshes that I am using myself.
Since I made the textures from scratch, it's OK for me to upload them and the patch file, but his permissions
don't allow me to upload those meshes. Sorry :(

DO THIS TO FIX:
You will need to edit the 5 meshes in ...Skyrim\data\meshes\clothes\Gri_hoodless_hoods to remove excess specularity and glow from them.
It only takes a few minutes with Nifskope. Get it here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope

I included an instructional image that shows what to change, along with the download.

Basically you open the meshes in Nifskope, click on the mantle, and from the "node tree" that collapses, find BSLightingShaderProperty.
Under "Block Details list" in BSLightingShaderProperty you will find Glossiness, Specular Color and Specular Strength.
Set the glossiness to 3, color to black, and strength to 0.3. That will remove all glossiness from the items.

Set the glossiness to 3, color to black, and strength to 0.3. That will remove all glossiness from the items.

I've also included my .psd file that I used to recolour and rebuild the textures. You can use that as a base to make your own custom mantles.
This of course requires a little knowledge of either how to replace textures or create new items in CK.
If you want to add new colours in CK, I strongly recommend using my esp and not the original Gri_Scarf_and_Gugel.esp.
