As of 7/7/2016 his mod is "final" and free to modify and redistribute. If I have left things broken or you want to "improve" or expand upon this mod, please do. All permissions are granted.
Hey guys, thanks for downloading my mods and supporting me. I likely will not be contributing any further updates from this point as work life has taken up so much of my time. I appreciate all the positive remarks I've gotten. And please, do not donate to me, I am doing well and have closed my Paypal. If you wish to show thanks, please take the time to visit one of these websites for a shelter in need.
So, quick question, if you have time to answer (Please). Is there a special edition port to this, or is that not a thing, because I've tried to find one and can't. If there isn't, is there a mod that adds the same functions as this one? I love the idea of this mod, and really want it in my game.
Has anyone tried porting this to Special Edition? Is it as easy as opening and resaving in creation kit? If not, any recommendations? I would like to see these effects in SE, particularly friendly dragon encounters.
Thank you for this mod. I always avoid the Main Quest, but I like dragon encounters. It never made sense to me why plot advancement would be needed for dragons to appear.
I downloaded this mod's earliest version called "dragon fly by", now mod changed name and updated version. I saw you just changed three quests: Dragon Attack Dragon vs Giant Dragon vs Player
I just need a less modification version, because i have other mods to work with. I want to know, does the earliest version have any issue?
Here are three mods, i'm thinking about: Timing is Everything, The Choice is Yours, Not so Fast
the earliest version, you only changed the DragonAttack quest's playerlevel from 10 to 0, that mean dragon will be possible to spawn at the beginning. i want to know, from your using or playing or testing, such change will case any trouble or issue in vanilla game?
a little curious, if kill the random dragon before completing dragonborn's first dragon kill quest, will dragon soul be absorbed?
if there will be update, i suggest to focus on dragon quest (random attack, fly by, ...), don't touch dragon's attribute(race, spell, bodypartdata), i think this mod being professtional on dragon quest shall be good. let other mods to manage dragon's attribute. this is for compatibility.
and the question below will be the more i want to know, does it have any potential issue to works with other quest mods? such as: Timing is Everything(touch dragon attack) The Choice is Yours Not so Fast(touch main quest) Paarthurnax Bypass
i can't be sure but i would say probably not, from what i've read on requiem it edits its own quest nodes which would be either overwritten by this if mine were lower or not have affect at all if it were higher in the load order
While dragons don't seem to appear at the word walls until the main quest is started (from reading other comments this seems to be an issue with ASLAL - I'm just about to go off and fight Mirmulnir at level 20), I've had plenty of dragon fly by events to keep my Dovahkiin occupied. Seriously, she got attacked by five dragons right outside Windhelm, three at once and then two more not five minutes later. Having the dragons not just focused on eating her but more of an equal opportunist was probably the only reason she wasn't toast. I have yet to get a dragon by itself though, they always come in pairs or a group of three... if that could be addressed, maybe a console command to alter the chances for multiple dragons at once like you have for several of the other features, that would be great. All in all though, I really enjoy having this mod - not knowing when or where I will be attacked is super fun. Might have to grab a "dragon souls to perk" or similar mod, though.
The back to back attacks was a bug I overlooked before the latest update. As for why there are more than one, it is likely another mod that allows for it and this mod just makes it happen very often. The vanilla dragon attacks aren't affected, only the node that initiates them - so if something else alters them and my mod allows them to happen more often, you might be dragon spammed. I'll look over it again to make sure.
I was also getting the back-to-back dragon spawns and this is the only dragon mod I have installed, so I came here to ask about it. Looks like I am using the older version. Since I started using this mod in June I've had a couple instances of back-to-back dragon attacks, and they always come in fives. 5 Blood dragons to be precise. The first time I thought it was just weird luck, but today after killing the fifth one I stopped the game, removed this mod, and replayed my save from the point where the first dragon attacked. After killing that first dragon I stayed in the same location but no more dragons came. I don't mind lots of dragons, but I was trying to shop dang it. lol. So the newer version fixed this then?
The first dragon on the tower near whiterun was reeally slow... like in midair something like 30 seconds for landing, i was able to shoot with arrow while he was flying Btw i didn't care so much until i found a very very fast dragon, it did the world tour 20 times per seconds......_. I uninstalled it and now i got very sneaky dragons that lands on roof of houses nearby and (without the combat music start) they spit me the hell out of themselves, then if i don't die they fly away. Lol.
Open the console with the command showglobalvalue dragonsreturned came up as 0 should'nt this be 1.Also there are no dragons at their lairs.Any mods responsible for this such as alternative life and dragon combat overhaul.

In testing phase v1.2 - dragon allies that assist the player if the main quest is completed.
some day i hope to get back to testing it because it was really cool but sometimes they would get stuck and spazz out
that being said, you can certainly test it out

you could just set the value from 0 to 1 if want them...or not. maybe it's better if there's a optional version of this mod to solve this.
