Fantastic, I will just hope that you would have the time to find those "very small, very useful, very outdated" mods to bring them to life, better said, bringing them back where they belong, SKYRIM

    Thanks mate

Took me a bit to find it, 'cause I don't reddit, but what you have looks fine. I'm always for more publicity.

This is a great idea. Reading through the description made me immediately think: "I would be able to use soul fragments of type 1 only -- what about all the soul fragments I find during my adventures that are not of type 1?" I believe there are 5 or 6 types of soul fragments in the game, each with a different item id.

Not sure if you are familiar with this mod I have been using: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19063/? Perhaps you could add a similar conversion to unify the different soul fragment item ids into one, so all soul fragments types can be used...???

Regardless, thank you for a great mod, will use it in my next play-through.

The following is taken directly from the mod description:

A Note on Soul Gem Fragments:
There are 5 types of Soul Gem Fragment in the game. To somewhat prevent cluttering up the crafting menu without making world edits or the like, there's a crafting recipe to convert each type into type 1 in increments of 1,10 and 50.

And here I thought I read the description thoroughly... I must be suffering from selective reading disorder or something. Thanks!

This is an awesome little mod. It's one of those features that should have been in the game from the very beginning.

Typically I would just sell all the spare petty & lesser soul gems now I can forge them into something useful! and make use of fragments. I have also installed your other mod: Acquisitive Soul Gems - thank you!

Oh yeah, by the way, as is probably obvious, I have literally no stylistic or artistic talent whatsoever. So, if anyone gets the urge to pretty up the description, I'm all for it. Just let me know.

Ill give this a try. It always bugged me that i couldn't do anything with the fragments. Im still early game though so itll take a while before i can test this.

I started a new game recently myself. I've only just now gotten to the point where I care about Soul Gems.

The mod I mentioned is the one I used way back when Skyrim was still under a year old, and while it did what I wanted, there were some things that bugged me, like how with that one, you had an infinite smithing loop of fragment -> petty -> fragment -> petty -> ..., which felt really cheaty to me.

But what really made me decide to make this mod was a 3 year old comment on the other one:
"Can you make an alternate that requires daedra heart or dynamo core or something similar when making black soul gems? Black soul gems are grand soul gems with a special ritual. They should require a little extra."
