We now return to our regularly scheduled modding, already in progress.
This mod won't be updated (though I've had a LOT of great suggestions!) because I have other mods that need attention. I will leave it here untouched, as a commemoration of this time in our lives, and a little reminder of what we stand for.
Maybe now you can all forgive Beth for her foolishness, and give her a hug.
Seems this is possibly going to be relevant yet again soon. A lot of rumors and rumblings of Bethesda introducing a Skyrim Marketplace in the near future.
Been reading up a little on ol' Beth's latest endeavors. Sounds like it's NOT a repeat of the "paid mods" fiasco in a lot of ways that matter. The most important part is, this time they're not going to try to sell anything until it's been internally tested to make sure it actually works.
It's not without problems, though. They're basically hiring a group of people that includes modders to help make little bits of DLC to nickel-and-dime us all to death with microtransactions. It's enough of a headache trying to make mods when some users have stuff like Dawnguard and others don't. More DLC means more compatibility issues and more master files to worry about. I'm guessing most modders are just going to steer clear of the whole enterprise.
But yeah, ultimately, Beth the rich beggar IS still relevant. Thirsty-ass Beth still on her hustle.
Perhaps in V2 Beth opens up a store, only she sells nothing, whenever you speak to her she will take an item from your inventory and sell it back for 10 times the worth. Perhaps also have a couple of rieklings sitting on a pile of gold in the background.
"Creators are required to submit documentation pitches which go through an approval process. All content must be new and original. Once a concept is approved, a development schedule with Alpha, Beta and Release milestones is created. Creations go through our full development pipeline, which Creators participate in. Bethesda Game Studios developers work with Creators to iterate and polish their work along with full QA cycles. The content is fully localized, as well. This ensures compatibility with the original game, official add-ons and achievements."

Those who wanted to see Beth the beggar on Steam Workshop: I allowed her inclusion in the "Paid Mod War Memorial" along with a lot of other silly things from protest mods.

I think we have need of this beauty again.
