Hi, i've downloaded the editor with NMM and it went smoothly. After the download was complete, i went to the Utilities folder of NMM and successfuly activated the mod. My problem is, i can't find it to launch it. i have no idea how to get to it to run the editor. Yepp, i'm a total noob. i admit it. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

Totally cool!I got it to work, but I did it a little different. Since

NPC editor always crashes my game, and alot of other peoples games,

I gave up trying to change my followers hair. Until I found this mod.
This is how I used your tutorial:

I wanted to use Numenume hair. I changed the hair of Lydia to the

next STOCK hair, not the Numenume available in the editor, as this

did not work (no Hairline was included in the .nif), just to know I

changed it. I opened the BSA with FOMM and extracted to a temp

    folder. I opened the 000a2c8e.nif (Lydia's Head and hair),the

KKKHair01.nif and the KKKHair01.nif from Numenume. Ninode 5 in Lydias

head is the parent Ninode for all the head parts, left click it, in

block details right click BSFaceGenNiNodeSkinned [5], it should say

edit string index, left click that, then highlight the title

(BSFaceGenNiNodeSkinned), then copy it (the text). in the hairline

.nif I did the same to the 0 Ninode, but this time I pasted the text,

otherwise you can't copy the hairline to Lydias head. Now copy-block

the '1 Nitrishape' from the hairline to the 5 Ninode of Lydias head.

Now do the same for the hair. You'll see that the hair is floating

way up over the head. LEAVE IT THERE. the hair has a different XYZ

root than the hairline. Delete (block-remove) the old hair and

hairline. Now save in the filepath:

    Data\meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\skyrim.esm

If the folders aren't there you have to create the new folders.

Start the game and enjoy your NPC's new look! ;-)

    Endorsements to you, Hulebjoern! -E

Edit: Argh! Site says I can't endorse because I did'nt download it first, even though I did! WTF? Well cheers anyways and thank you!

I've got some troubles when followed your guide directly, but thanks (see screenshots)!

On the 3rd step i've had to change reference numbers not in NPC Editor's generated NIF, but in hair mesh (I'm using MTOH), because changing the numbers following tutorial didn't work properly.
It obviously costs me unavailability of this hair mesh for normal use at player creation menu.

Can you please explain the last step of your tutorial in more detail?

If I have made some changes with the npceditor, it creates some nif files right.
but nif cannot load them, he don't see something to load
when i open it myself there is only a creation kit file.

This is not working for me, everytime I try to go to the npc I altered i CTD. I'm using one of the new apache hairs #3 and I'm trying to put it on Borgahk the Steel Hearted.

@MrCasual Hmm... Sounds very strange that it wouldn't work on Ysolda because you're married to her... Do you by chance have an earlier save you can try out where you weren't married to her? Then I suppose you'd know right away if the marriage is the problem.

I found these console instructions on YouTube:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_N1UvCiFTE

    Directions:
    1. 0:00 - Get rid of your Amulet of Mara if you are still carrying one from before. You can either drop it or sell it to an NPC.
    2. 0:05 - Open up your console by pressing "~"
and put in these 2 commands:
    resetquest RelationshipMarriage
    setstage RelationshipMarriage 10
(If the console says nothing back, you've entered them correctly.)
    3. 0:38 - Murder your current spouse.
    4. 1:25 - Head back to the Temple of Mara (in riften)
    5. Buy a new amulet of mara and repeat finding a new mate!

I tested it on another NPC and it worked...it doesn't work on Ysolda (I'm guessing) because I'm married to her. I tried several console commands, but which commands do I need to do, and in what order, to divorce Ysolda, and totally refresh her and send her back to her original spot, then re-marry her?

I added custom hair with the Creation kit, all you need to do is go to the character tab, and its in the headparts. I added a hair that I wanted and added it to Ysolda, but no matter what I do, I can't get her in game to change to the desired hair. Even if it shows up AOK in the CK preview window, it just doesn't work for me...but someone else might have more luck.
