I had clipping using the male Redgaurd hairs on the female Redguard heads (this may also be true for the other race/gender hair swaps, but I was focused with only getting my Redguard some new hairs)--If you use Racemenu " http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/? " (I dont know if ECE also has this option *sorry*) you can use the sculpt tab added to the race creation menu to smooth out the clipping portions for some nice looking hair. I realize this thread hasn't been commented on in a while but, I was hoping if anyone else had issues with clipping and just started using this mod this tip would help. Thanks much for the mod (downloading this and using Racemenu for clipping was a lot easier than firing up the CK, nifskope, blender, et.al., etc. hehe) **post edited to include link to Racemenu

I've sculpted the hair and have made a preset (so it doesn't clip) with the 'Racemenu', but every time i load back to a previous save, the hair goes back to clipping. Do you have this issue, or is it just me?

Nice thinking, but does not work properly. Many Hairs will clip on some races or genders.

I tested most on a female Nord. Many male hairs does not work good. If they are from other races, it is even worse. Especially hairstyles wich does not cover the entire head are a problem, for example the orc haiyrstyle with that nice little ponytail. Male look terrible on female Nord, female is better, but still clipping issues around the ears.
Some female Elven hairstyles are also a problem on female Nord, male Elven Styles work better, if they cover the head.

There are some that work, but not the ones i am interested in.
I was very interested on using male orcish hairstyle on my female Nord, but it is not satisfiing. Im sure this is not your fault, the hairstayles are simply not meant to be simply changed with races or genders. They need a complete rework i think.

hey! I havent downloaded and tested this yet, but wouldnt some hairs have clipping issues with some race/gender combinations? Like elf hair would have clipping issues with human heads, because elf heads are more egg-like in shape and human heads are rounder. ?

Anyway, will try it when i get some home this weekend

So, now we can have hair from high elves to nords? even from mods... if that's true then you just solved half my problems, just need a mod that lets all races have each others eyes. T^T

I haven't dl'ed this but I doubt it will work for mod hairs.

edit: dl'ed it. it's just an esp so it will only affect vanilla hairs

I do not believe there is any way to do this for non vanilla hairs unless I made a version directly from the specific hair mod which i could do if you told me a mod you would like it to be done for.
